Arriving at the little boutique airport on Samui is a very welcoming experience. The set up there is like a 1940's pioneering tropical airline movie set. From getting off the twee propeller plane, you take a ride in cute little trolley bus thingys to the open plan palm thatched huts that serve as the terminal buildings. The only difference between being here & being in the movie is that this is in colour. We were collected by Michael, son of our hosts at The Waterfront, Bophut & whisked back to our recharge spot for the 1st two nights where Robin [View Full Entry]

Morning Glory
Mind The Gap
Home From Home

Made it to Thailand. Safe, sound & somewhat sticky despite getting off to a bit of a disastrous start. Plan A was all going very well. Last night, sitting happily on the sofa, next to the radiant heat machine, watching the captive fish in their glass room, the bloody cat (another captive) decides to drag me through the catflap to enjoy a "fresh Yorkshire night". Try as I might, I just couldn't make it back through [View Full Entry]

. . . . . . I'm writing this with a heavy heart & sense of trepidation as it seems my Keepers are yet again taking me travelling. To be honest, I don't think I'll ever get the hang of this flying malarky (why can these Humans not just swing from tree to tree as nature intended?). This will be my 3rd trip to Thailand. I've suffered in the past over there. I've been lobbed into a shark infested lagoon (by the small human my Keepers look after), dropped from the dizzying height of a very large elephant (by the same [View Full Entry]
