This is the first opportunity I have had to post from the Pantanal as the internet service here was down. This is my fourth day here at Pousada Ararauna, a lovely lodge located 150 km from Campo Grande, in Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. We have spent our days here sitting on the banks of the Rio Negro watching and taking notes on the behavior of the giant and neo-tropical otters.
