| 28th September 2008 Mikey | Fort Benning Blog - From: Just another Manic Monday Wowsers bean!! I just read the whole blog, it took quite a while. Neat-o pics too. Im gonna hijack your blog for my own now, heres a synopsis of Fort Benning over the last month... 0515 or earlier wake up, PT for an hour, chow, sit in class/briefing/or actually train on something, chow, sit in class/briefing/or actually train on something, chow, bed around 2230. Mix in "wait in line or sit under oak tree for 1-3 hours at a time" between everything and that is pretty accurate. Im tagged in a buncha facebook pics cuz we have a shutterbug in my squad. |
| 28th September 2008 Aunt Marshy | pretty - From: Just another Manic Monday Yes, the night scenes are very pretty. Feel better...Listerine...rid those germs!!! |

You can email me if you have time. Patricia |

| 21st September 2008 Linda | How is your new life teaching?? - From: Chicago to Incheon on Korean Air & Bus to Jeonju I starting reading your Blog and was wondering how you like Seoul? How is the teaching going? I am from western New York and thinking of going to Seoul to teach. My friend's daughter is over there teaching in a college. She started out with a one year contract and stayed! Now, she teaching in a University and loves it. We have many teaching graduates in this part of the country who can't find work. I hope you are doing well and would like to hear from you!! |

| 19th September 2008 Miss Cramer | Death and Steak - From: First Full Day in Korea Well, yeah. You just learn to shut your eyes and pray! I've ridden with many cabbies, and they are by far the worst! As for the steak - I can't wait to have a juicy, medium-well, black Angus slab of meat when I return! ...Mom & Dad... are you listening? ;) |
| 19th September 2008 Miss Cramer | Reading - From: First Full Day in Korea I'm glad you are enjoying reading my experiences. Hopefully, I can get a more worldly view on education and bring back more knowledge to the States. Keep in touch and stay tuned for more! |

| 19th September 2008 Miss Cramer | The People - From: Apples for Chusok and JR’s Pub Everyone is very friendly here. I have not met a mean person yet. I have met people that I don't know if I would want to hang out with ever again ;), but everyone is very nice. All foreigners interact with each other, and the Korean people have respect for the foreigners who come here to teach their children. The only thing that could be seen as rude in Western culture is the staring, pushy-ness, and frank bluntness of the Korean people, however, that is part of their culture and who they are, so it's not considered rude. It's just something we understand over on this side of the pond ;) |
| 19th September 2008 Miss Cramer | Lunch & Package - From: Gymshule & Dak Galbi Yeah, lunch was very good and very filling! I would have it again if I went to that restaurant! The package got here on Tuesday. Friday through Monday was holiday time, so that probably delayed it some. Usually packages arrive in 3-7 days from what I hear. |
| 19th September 2008 Miss Cramer | Harry Potter and Frosted Flakes - From: Shopping Trip to E-Mart I'm not sure about the pronunciation, but I think it would be just like ours, except with an accent. The Frosted Flakes here are basically sugarless, so they're just like Corn Flakes, and I haven't tried the milk yet because apparently it is very different and most foreigners don't like it. Personally, I don't want to try it because I don't know how they produce it and I don't want to get sick. The M&M's ...yeah I have no excuse for those. They're just mighty tasty and it's one thing that tastes the same! |
| 19th September 2008 Miss Cramer | Clean air - From: SNL, Rice Cakes, and Walk Around Jeonju Riverbank It has been very muggy here lately and the air is heavy. The air is funny here because we get pollution from China that blows tiny sand particles over that settles in the city and country side. So, some of the other foreign teachers and I are having breathing problems and stuff in our lungs (two of us just popped Vitamin C tablets as I type). Usually it's bad in the morning because everything settles in the chest at night, but during the day it's not bad and the air is lighter in the evenings. The mountains on the other hand are always clean and fresh because of all of the trees over powering any bad air. Did I mention that I love the mountains here? ;) |
| 19th September 2008 Miss Cramer | Rice Cakes - From: SNL, Rice Cakes, and Walk Around Jeonju Riverbank Nope, as you expected, they weren't the best tasting thing. They were doughy with a raw flavor and then they tasted like wet brown sugar and sesame on the inside. Needless to say, one bite was enough for me! I'm glad you enjoy reading my adventures. I love it here and it's a great way to remember my experiences! |
| 19th September 2008 Stacey Mooney | Rice cakes - From: SNL, Rice Cakes, and Walk Around Jeonju Riverbank You are braver than I am or the cakes look better in person. In the photo they look pretty nasty. I enjoy reading your blog. What an exciting teaching position! |
