This was my hottest summer EVER It has been 6months since I wanted to travel and visit my brother who lives in the United Arab Emirates and the long wait was finally over and am on way there on an almost 12 hour flight from Quezon City, Philippines to Abu Dhabi. I had to take a connecting flight through Hong Kong then Dubai where my brother and his wife fetched me and we had a 2hour drive going to Abu Dhabi where they live. Since its almost summer in the middle east we decided to have some Summer Getaway with their friends at Hilton, Al Ain. Al Ain is another emirate of the UAE, a 2hour drive from Abu Dhabi. I thought being in the middle east the roads will be filled with desert but I ... read more

Winning is one of the greatest feeling a person can have and it can best experience by spending time with the closest person in your life in my case my Dad in a beautiful place like Boracay. I have been to Boracay so many times and my senses never gets tired of the amazing views, delicious food, awesome water and land activities and friendly people. It's like everything in Boracay is GREAT. So winning this Boracay package is an opportunity for me to share all of Boracay not just to my Dad but also to my fellow bloggers and to the travelers out there. I consider myself as a full pledge traveler but I promised myself to be patriotic and have my trips in the Philippines which I do every year. I have been north to ... read more

Boracay is one place that always strikes me in all the trips I’ve made in the Philippines. I think it’s the beach and the shimmering white sand that never fails to warmly welcome its guests. It’s as if I am a foreigner from another country seeing for the first time that pristine Boracay beach although I have been there many times now. This time I’ve taken a different route via Iloilo City with its gruelling 6 hours Ceres bus trip to Caticlan jetty port and I thought taking the Kalibo flight was bad this one’s worst. But on the good side, I was able to feel the country side, the views were amazing from the rice fields, pineapple fields, farm animals freely grazing by the hills, nipa huts and farmers waving each time a bus ... read more

Inspired by the movie Eat Pray Love, relating to the character of Liz, considering the sudden change in my life right now-hitting rock bottom at 28. I decided to go soul-searching and self-reflecting. I do not have any money to spend for an out of the country tour like Liz but I was fortunate to have gifted by friends last Christmas a plane ticket to Iloilo Province here in the Philippines. I think Iloilo is a great place to explore the three planes of self:Physical, Emotional and Spiritual in the way Liz did in Italy, India and Indonesia and me doing the local version. I have been to Iloilo before, this trip will be my third visit but it seems like there is always something new to experience and this is the Best ever. EAT I ... read more

It was late Wednesday afternoon when we finalize our trip to Cebu. An all expense paid trip which includes a plane ticket, accommodation at Marriot Hotel and a 24hour Cebu City tour-as in everything is free including the "pasalubongs". What else can I say but "Yes! I'll join". I've wanted to visit Cebu City but with no luck, I've been left behind so many times and I even forfeit a flight last year. But seems luck is on my side last November 24 when I got a call telling me that I'll be off to Cebu the following day. I pack my things as fast as I can because I don't want to waste a minute even a second on my 24hour trip. Thinking what will I do in Cebu, Alone? It suddenly hit me that ... read more

Since this is going to be my first blog of a place I’ve wanted to visit and a blog to encourage people from Sea Air to let me join in their trip. I would like to share with you how madly-deeply I love Travelling and the Food that goes with it and joining you in this Batanes trip will surely make my TravelBlog a lot more interesting. It has been my goal every year to travel outside of Metro Manila just to relax and unwind from the busy, stressful and polluted metro. Most of all to Taste the local delicacies of the region, considering that fast food is what you always see convenient in the city. So in my travels real food is a Must, maybe some exotic dishes along the road will do, as I ... read more

Masskara Festival in the City of Smiles It was the 31st Masskara Festival in Bacolod City held every October 1-20, designed to show the hardships of the people of Negros. With this festival local and foreign visitors get a chance to enjoy 20 days of merry making, beer drinking, dining and street dancing and we've come to join the Party!!! I've been in Bacolod before and am a witness of the Negrense's hospitality and great smiles and this trip is just like before well...multiplied by 3. Tagged by 3 men (Jun-Negrense, Paul-Illongo & Rhan-Manileño) we toured the city and joined the festivities. Roads were blocked for the Street dancing and a re-routing of PUV's were implemented so there is only one thing to enjoy this day to walk, block per block in the down town ... read more

After Iloilo and Guimaras now comes Bacolod and I Never thought I'll fall in Love not once but thrice in the Visayas. A visit to this place can give you a feel of history which you will surely love. Straight from Guimaras we head out to Iloilo pier to buy tickets for Bacolod. BACOLOD CITY is the capital city of Negros Occidental. Aboard a Sea Jet ferry with an amazing promo of “Libre Balik” Bac-Ilo and vice versa it was a great deal 2 cities for P300. We had a swift ride at the ferry munching dried mangoes bought in Guimaras we sailed along the Iloilo straight. We arrived at Bacolod pier just in time for the hotel check-in. I choose to stay at L'Fisher Chalet Hotel annex of L'Fisher Hotel learning that it was ... read more

We are going to Guimaras! Wake up! its already 6:30…still sleepy… Hello!!! BEACH I love the beach...we are going to the beach. Excited as usual- our food, swim suit and cameras are all packed and ready in less than 30 minutes. According to my stock info, Guimaras is well known for its sweet mangoes and the not so pleasant Oil spill a few years ago. We hailed a taxi and went straight to Ortiz Pier in Iloilo. To my surprise we only paid P13 per person (one way to Jordan Pier, Guimaras Island) on a 15minute pump boat ride. Koreans, Chinese, local Ilonggos and me a Manileña aboard the pump boat, life vest hanging above our heads. Thank God the water is calm and the sun is out, as we sailed smoothly across a narrow ... read more

June 12, 2010 when I confirmed my travel reservation to Air Philippines. Flight bound for Iloilo scheduled on July 16-19, 2010. 4 days, my first and longest out of town vacation. I was nervous at first thinking that I'll be travelling alone. Am not afraid of flying but ALONE? Welcome to Iloilo as the Capt. of flight PR 168792 Philippine Airlines (PAL) welcomes its passengers. Turns out that an early check-in can upgrade you to good seats and a better plane (My 10:45am flight to Iloilo was delayed with no exact time of departure and the first 20 early check-in passengers of AirPhil will be upgraded to PAL if they want to, leaving at 11:50am. Yehey! I was the 2nd person to check-in-obviously excited and nervous). As I stepped out to the airport the atmosphere suddenly ... read more
