After an extremely easy and hassle free border crossing we got on another boat and set of on a 2 day boat trip down the Mekong river to our first main destination in Lao Luang Prabang. The boat journey was a little uncomfortable on the first day but the views along the river were beautiful and it was cool see http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/blog-420473.html Right then after around 30 hours of various different buses minibuses and boats i arrived at Koh Phi Phi on the 24th June an island at the bottom of Thailand. On the route there I stopped in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia Hat yai Thailand and Krabi Thailand to change transport services and get some much needed refreshments. The plane was a little late but we arrived at Manila or so we thought at around 6 in the evening. Immediately we felt the intense humidity and new we would have to get used to it pretty quick as it would be much the same everywhere. There was lots of busking going on by indivituals and bands with a variety of music being played including Jazz Scar reggae and Tango. The first leg of the journey was an 18 hour bus ride to Santa Cruz where we stayed over night in a hostel called Alojamiento Acre Backpackers which cost under 1.50 pounds a night and you could see why. The bus to Copacobana was somewhat of an experiance but very cheap costing around 9 pounds for a 12 hour journey. The bus was a local bus down to Puno and was freezing cold completly full and with one lady carrying a baby lama with her for the trip.
