After an extremely easy and hassle free border crossing we got on another boat and set of on a 2 day boat trip down the Mekong river to our first main destination in Lao Luang Prabang. On the route there I stopped in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia Hat yai Thailand and Krabi Thailand to change transport services and get some much needed refreshments. The plane was a little late but we arrived at Manila or so we thought at around 6 in the evening. Immediately we felt the intense humidity and new we would have to get used to it pretty quick as it would be much the same everywhere. When we got to Picton we headed down to Christchurch to meet up with Dave and Goddings friends from England at the airport. There was lots of busking going on by indivituals and bands with a variety of music being played including Jazz Scar reggae and Tango. The first leg of the journey was an 18 hour bus ride to Santa Cruz where we stayed over night in a hostel called Alojamiento Acre Backpackers which cost under 1.50 pounds a night and you could see why. The next day we headed for Brazil with another 18 hour bus to Corumba which is just across the border from B http://www.travelblog.org/South-America/Brazil/blog-295302.html La Paz Birthdays and the Jungle Right then we left Cusco on the 7th June and headed to Copacobana Bolivia to check out lake Titicaca. The bus to Copacobana was somewhat of an experiance but very cheap costing around 9 pounds for a 12 hour journey. The bus was a local bus down to Puno and was freezing cold completly full and with one lady carrying a baby lama with her for the trip. Im traveling with Barbs and our first destination was Lima in Peru.
