Mick's 400 mile walk home
Hi,
Thanks for visiting my travel blog.
At the age of nearly 66 years I should know better. However I have decided that I am going to walk from Land's End back home to Ramsgate. Please don't ask why!!Starting on 24th June my route will include crossing Dartmoor, the South West Coastal Path, The East Devon Way, The South Downs Way, and part of The North Downs Way - a little over 400 miles in all. I hope to finish at the Belle Vue Tavern in Pegwell on 17th. July (hopefully of this year!!)Initially it was just because I like a challenge that I decided on this walk, but then I thought that if I could help a charity it would be an added incentive. The Alfie Gough Trust is a local charity that was set up in memory of a two year old little boy who sadly passed away having succumbed to Neuroblastoma, a form of cancer. Alfie's parents set up the Alfie Gough Trust to help other children with cancer. They are making an excellent job of it.
I've talked the talk, now I have to walk the walk!! With your encouragement and help I will do my best, and if you can make a donation to my chosen charity, that would be brilliant. Please visit my donation page by visiting here: www.virginmoneygiving.com/MichaelAdams44
And across the next few weeks you can follow my progress by visiting this blog - where I will be updating with news and photos when I can.
Thank you very much!! Mick x
