However the bus ride to La Ceiba was fine! As was the first ferry crossing, it seemed Roatan was the number one attraction out of the 3 Islands. We had decided to rent a house for a [View Full Entry]

Having spent... what is now a month in Tegucigalpa amongst the busy traffic and tooting horns, alarms.. the list could go on a little... we decided it was necessary, no!, vital, to escape to the beach for a weekend. Hola! I have made it...after a veryyy long flight, all the waiting n sleeping on aiport benches was worth it! One of the first things someone mentioned to me was how was your landing... did u know Honduras has the 3rd shortest runway in the world! hehe. I didnt.. perhaps sets a tone of the unexpected suprises you might find in Honduras? I was greeted at arrivals by my co'ordinator Eliza, who took me to the quiet, pretty town of Ville De Angeles, i stayed with another volunteer who is teaching in La Esperanza for a few weeks. We were both [View Full Entry]
