| 29th April 2008 Nate's Mom | A Bad Day - From: A light at the end of the tunnel I am a cancer survivor. Yes, it has been 7 years since I heard the dreaded news...but I am ALIVE. Someone gave me an antique silver spoon that had be cut off at the gorgeous scrolled end and polished around like a smooth stone. Inscribed on the back it says: "A bad day makes good ones even better!" Be smart, be cautious, but SEIZE the Day! I know it sounds cliche'...but it is true. Money can be replaced, but not a life. Enjoy EVERYTHING you do and stay SAFE. Thanks Megan for you updates! Nate's MOM. |

I have been enjoying your blog since I disembarked from the ship in January, and I cannot believe that it is already the time for you to go back to the life on a ground. Thanks for keeping up your fascinating blog posts during your trip! Also, congrats on finishing up with your on-board academic work! | 8th April 2008 tamikidakika | Tarikats - From: Istanbul part 2 didn`t you notice that these religious groups (known as tarikats) are outlawed in Turkey, so you went through an illegal 2 hours during your stay in Turkey (I think this is a good explanation to your question that why didn`t they do the ceremony in a worship place but an house) , and sure it`s an exotic thing to display here, but I would stay away from these people. and I`m saying this as a Turk. |

It's fascinating to read your thoughts set out like this (and the previous entry), and it's no wonder people from all over are reading and commenting. Funnily enough, i picked up an Algerian hitch-hiker yesterday. We talked about religion and terrorism, it was fascinating to hear his views too. x |
