I went to Peru from Chile and had my camera passport and credit cards stolen. I won't write a blog on that. I came back to Canada in early July. Until next time... http://www.travelblog.org/South-America/Chile/Maule/blog-402137.html Chilly in Chile I don't think I should ever try and be my own travel agent again. Getting to Santiago was quite the journey. Because in previous trips I have been frustrated by having to return to the same city and the end of the trip to fly home. So this time I had this bright idea to book a return trip tofrom Lima and then get myself to Santiago after. Well the gong show occurred a little something like this. http://www.travelblog.org/South-America/Chile/Santiago-Region/blog-397684.html The Little Trips in Between It felt weird doing a travel blog for South America without filling in the gap between now and my last trip. The last 23 years have been full of mini adventures around BC and getting my diploma in as a Recreation Fish and Wildlife Technician. http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/Canada/British-Columbia/Nelson/blog-396527.html It Just Keeps Getting Better As I travelled more North it seemed to just get better and better seems like the poorest countries had the more friendly people. Tourism is a lot less blown out here and that is very appealing to me . I met Jen here too and we are close to this day i couldn't have asked for a better traveling companion I miss her. I strongly reccomend Nicaragua to ANYONE. http://www.travelblog.org/Central-America-Caribbean/Nicaragua/blog-117044.html Costa Rica Again beautiful and magical if you stay out of the tourist traps. The people are so wonderful http://www.travelblog.org/Central-America-Caribbean/Costa-Rica/blog-112475.html Panama Im just doing this for myself oh and you too I guess so I have all my trips on here. So bear with me and the next 3 blogs I do from 20042005.I spent a little over a month in Bocas del Toro taking spanish lessons and scuba diving. I hit up a few other places also including the San Blas Islands on the Caribbean coast which still to this day was the most sureal place I have been. Also Boquette wh http://www.travelblog.org/Central-America-Caribbean/Panama/Bocas-Del-Toro/blog-112246.html Home Sweet Home Okay so I've actually been home for a month now or something like that. The flights all went well and my little bro picked me up and he was on time This is mostly for the friends I made traveling you can put some of it together now.Now the excitment of being home lasted about 3 days I think. I knew it would be like that but what do ya do It was a big suprise for pretty much all my family. My http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/Canada/Alberta/Whitecourt/blog-111999.html I'm With My Sis Now So of the plane and into the depth of my sisters new life. I arrived on the day of a celebration called the feast of booths. A little overwhelming but it was okay because everyone was so sweet and genuine you could see it in their faces and smiles.Tessa was a little late well got a little lost picking me up and I was waiting outside on a bench for here when this girl started running towards me http://www.travelblog.org/Oceania/Australia/New-South-Wales/blog-99162.html Thailand I'm Glad I Gave You Another Chance All right this is my very last blog entry for SE Asia as tomorrow I fly over the big sea to Australia. So I arrived back in Bangkok and met again with Claire and Doug I'm really going to miss them I attempted a little shopping and then we headed to the Koh Tao the place to dive in Thailand. Well it is the place to dive I had planned on taking my rescue course and when they s http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Thailand/blog-93082.html LAOS I HAVE NEVER SEEN SOMEWHERE SO BEAUTIFUL I Resume editing am writing this blog entry on my sixth month point on this trip. Some places time goes so fast and others so slow. I've been in Laos for 19 days and it seems like a maybe week. So far this is my ultimate favorite country in SE Asia. The people are a kind of their own very soft spoken welldressed easy going and shy. It surprises me with the history of the country that the p http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Laos/South/Bolaven-Plateau/blog-86864.html Tour de Thailand Bangkok Bangkok Bangkok is there anything I like about you I'm trying to be positive in most of my writing but I REALLY don't get what the big hype is about Bangkok. Sure everything is at you fingertips on Kohl San Rd but it is all a big rip off. Maybe my feelings are somewhat altered because I wasn't feeling all that well while I was there and the hoards of other seemingly unapproachable tour http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Thailand/South-West-Thailand/Phuket/blog-83116.html Tammy and Megan's lil Adventure When I finally arrived in Singapore after the push and shove match at the boarder I checked into the Cozy Corner Backpackers Hostel and stayed 3 nights. For some reason I had my days all messed up and thought Tammy was coming my second night there. I was on my way to the airport when I had a little feeling something wasn't right and when I checked my watch sure enough I was a day early. What a dis http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Indonesia/Bali/Kuta/blog-80696.html A Little Relax Well I was glad to escape the huffel and buffel of the big cityKL I really just can't do them for long too many people. The original plan was to hit up Tioman Island after taking a little side trip to Cherating a little eastern coast town and then Singapore to meet my girl Tammy. Well... after seeing Cherating and meeting the fantastic group of people that I did I couldn't help myself I jus http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Malaysia/Pahang/Cherating/blog-76976.html Dance Dance Dance I guess I left you in Belaga guuuuuu I better catch up Belaga Belaga oh yeshellip. We left early the next morning Desi and I on there little ferry boat to Sibu. It took quite a few hours and when we hit Sibu we agreed to carry on to Kuching 8 hours away by bus. This made it a 16 hour journey and we arrived at midnight to the Singgahsana Lodge where we fell in love with the staff accomm http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Malaysia/blog-74052.html YEEHA Okay well the last 2 weeks have been quite adventurous and full of fun a special thanks to the comrades Irsquove met along the way. I think I left off in Brunei where I had met again with Desi the Swiss girl. From Brunei we bused it to Miri and shacked up in a really nice little hostel The Highlands where we ran into 2 more Swiss Steve and Christoph and ended up spending about 5 pretty ful http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Malaysia/Sarawak/Bario/blog-69262.html Is this still Asia Well Brunei definitely deserves its own blog entry. This country is highly developed and a lot of time and money has gone into making it absolutely stunning. Most people I talked to must have missed the beauty it reminds me a little of Granada Nicaragua it nothing like it but just the feeling of looking around and there's so much to see. I came over here with Catherine and Dawn a couple of Sco http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Brunei/Bandar-Seri-Begawan/blog-67551.html F'N A LOVE MALAYSIA Malaysia has been so wonderful maybe a little tiring because there is so much to do and see but still wonderful. The last two weeks have flown by like crazy. I flew into Kota Kinabalu on the 1st of June and by the time I went to bed I met a couple guys to climb Mt.Kinabalu with and we were off the next day. To climb this mountain you need to book an extremely overpriced room at the top a http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Malaysia/Sabah/Sepilok-Orang-Utan-Sanctuary/blog-64892.html The Last Leg of the Philippines Well I guess this is it for me in the Philippines and though my time here was very much enjoyed I am happy to be moving on. I guess Irsquom a little tired going on 2 months it is really a lot of work to travel here and doing it solo doesnrsquot make it any easier. Itrsquos not that you canrsquot get to where you want itrsquos just the route that must be taken can be long http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Philippines/blog-62599.html Rice Terraces Caves and Waterfalls The landscape and flora and fauna in the Northern region of the Philippines is sure something. Some say the rice terraces are the 8th wonder of the world well they are spectacular that is for sure. The thousands of years of work and planning that went into building these mountain side terraces dose not go unnoticed. I gazed in awe and wonder for hours after arriving a photo could never do this b http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Philippines/Mountain-Province/Sagada/blog-59318.html UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL WITH THE AMAZIN WHALE SHARKS OF DONSOL Ahhhhhellip. So where was I Boracay I believe. Well Boracay is the most popular tourist destination in all of the Philippines to me that makes it so much less desirable but I had to go. My primary reason of going was to go to the immigration department there which turned out to be a desk in the tourist information center for a quick and easy visa extension.
