Haha...Yeah, a fire festival in California...doesn't seem like it would work very well. Definitely one of those unique Japanese experiences. I love those!
Hi! Sorry. I just realized that I can respond to comments people make! I feel pretty silly. Anyway, I'll respond to all of them now!
For this one...yes, the fireworks did rival Disneyland! It was 2 hrs worth of fireworks! Crazy! And I'll see if I can get you one of those chairs. ;)
Mos Burger I found your blog post after searching for Mos Burger.... feeling pretty nostalgic about Japan. What a great opportunity you have to study there.
Not in California What an experience, the fire stacks and reasons for having them are just amazing! With all of the safety and environmental rules in California, you would never have a chance to see something like that stateside. Too cool ... rather hot!
Food, Glorious Food! I've finally had time to catch up and actually read your posts vice having Harry tell me about them. The recurrent theme (beside shopping) is food, food food! No wonder we love you! Learn how to make those mice cakes, and teach me when you come back, ok?
Catching Up Megan, trust me, you will never look like a roll of sushi, you are way too good looking. Now, there is no way the fireworks are better than Disneyland ... is there? And ... Where can I get one of those tiny chairs - looks like just the right size to me!
U-DA-Woman! Hi Megan,
Konnichiwa! Your "oh-so-witty" humor is great and I can hear your voice in every word I read. Loved the pictures and stories and am looking forward to the next installment. I'm glad this is Konnichiwa Japan and not "Personal Space."
Have fun!

You're so cool Megan. I hope you're having a blast. Oh and did you hear our moms hung out at some scrap book thing? Haha.
