Megalithic Hobsausage Megalithic Facebook Page
Ever since September 2002 I have been an avid traveller trying to eat a bowl of Corn Flakes in every country in the world and on my journey over the years I have visited a number of ancient sites around the world.
I have a blog which details my trips... TravelBlog
...but this blog is an accompaniment to concentrate on those sites I have visited.
I have come across so many sights around the world that my interest in them has grown. As I have researched the topic I have found an astounding number of sights and that they have specific alignments to each other (checkout the Becker Hagens Grid). I have seen compelling evidence on my travels, such as the weathering on the sphinx or the pyramids in Bosnia, which raise doubts about the official story about how old we are and where we come from. I now believe that there has been at least one global civilisation that was more advanced than our society today, both technologically and spiritually.
My intention with this blog is to show you what I find as I travel the world and hopefully open your mind a little. For the first years of my travels my knowledge about such sites was virtually zero so earlier blogs are pretty brief but I have learnt things in recent years so will talk more about what I found.
History has many layers so my main interest is in megalithic sites, as I believe these were built tens of thousands of years ago and I am particularly interested in evidence of how ancient civilisations manipulated, shaped and carved rock.
I must stress I am no expert, I simply want to show you what I find, but in the texts I may refer you to people who I consider to know what they are talking about.

Vaison Stone Circle I came across these rocks in a field when I was working in the South of France. It is a couple of kilometres outside of Vaison La Romaine and looks like a random collection of stones but on closer inspection and with the aid of google earth you can see a symmetrical structure that looks to me like a sacred geometry or cymatics pattern. It is like a set of 'Russian Doll' stone circles with an outer circle with 4 groups of 5 stones each separated with a large space which is filled with a large stone. The second circle inside the larger one repeats 3 stones, then 4 stones (which is more like 2 stone pairs separated by a smaller gap). Then in the middle you have 9 stones that form a ... read more

The Camel Stones While Looking for the Necropolis of Elles I got lost and happened upon some megaliths. (To see details of my visit to Elles - http://www.travelblog.org/Africa/Tunisia/Le-Kef/blog-782270.html) I found 3 different sites while driving down the wrong road: One looks like a pile of stones One is a single Standing stone next to the road The other is a set of 3 standing stones between the road and a farm. There is no town town nearby, so for now I am going to call them the 'Camel Stones' in honour of Tunisia's famous animal. There were many quarries in the area and while driving around I noticed many stones that could have been the remnants of megalithic structures left by our ancestors. This area definitely warrants a return o... read more

The Elles Necropolis - Tunisia This site was quite a surprise and has quickly become one of my favourite sites from around the world. Out in the middle of Tunisia amongst the fields of crops lie some structures, and the remnants of structures, that remind me very much of the dolmen I have seen in England e.g. Lanyon Dolmen The sites vary in condition from complete tomb like structures to just the remnants that look like the foundations of a house but the necropolis was huge and made up of at least 64 different megalithic structures, Tomb 23 is a great example, one of the larger constructions resembling a tomb or a house. I probably investigated and documented about 20-25 of the sites and I found lots of signs of rock shaping and manipulation, plus some ... read more

U.K Megalithic Tour - Documentary Film Making Project In this documentary we intend to show people the extent to the different types of megalithic sites in the U.K and give a clue into the large numbers that exist here in U.K. We spent 11 days driving round the U.K, reaching as far North as the Orkney Islands and as far south as Landsend. I would like to say a big thank you to 'The Megalithic Portal' - a very informative website which made this trip a lot easier to plan and research. The sites we visited are listed below in chronological order with details and observations about each site: Waylands Smithy Long Barrow Description - /b... read more

For the start of the new cycle in the Mayan Calendar, 21st December 2012, myself and a friend spent time at Avebury and the days before and after driving around the U.K, visiting some of the megalithic sites. Unfortunately the weather was against us as there was heavy rain and flooding but it was a kind of recon mission anyway, for a further exploration in the summer and a possible film we might be making, about the number of sites in there are in the U.K and how so many sites line up along ley lines. We visited the Uffington Horse, Malvern Hills (pyramid shaped hills near Worchester), the Avebury complex (West Kennet Long Barrow, Silbury Hill etc), Glastonbury Tor, Burrowbridge Mump, The Hurlers stone circles and the Old Sarum in Salisbury. A great trip and ... read more

I spent 2 weeks in Visoko, the town at the base of one of the 5 pyramids that Dr. Sam Semir Osmanagich discovered in 2005. I was part of a volunteer program to excavate the pyramids and for details about my experience please click below. http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Bosnia-and-Herzegovina/blog-736363.html I have also written A Report About The 2 Weeks and will happily e-mail you a copy if you contact me through this website. I went there to see what is there for myself and found the following things that make me think that Dr Sam's claims are true. They found tunnels that seem to lead to under the Sun Pyramid and have found megalithic blocks in the tunnels. The tunnels have healing properties, which myself and many others experienced over the 2 weeks. The hills are pyr... read more

This has become one of my favourite sites due to the nature of the rock carving. Walking around the site it made me feel like I was at an ancient processing plant with channels cut into the rocks for liquid to run from one hole to another. There were obvious shapes that I think had a mechanical purpose, you simply need to look at the photos or better still visit the site. There was obvious layers in the sites history demonstrated really well by the different types of doorway and there were also signs of rock shaping in the steps that were carved into the boulders. Definately requires further investigation. I came across the site on a cycle from Turkey to Croatia and spent 16 days in Bulgaris, please click below for details of my trip ... read more

I passed 3 dolmen and some standing stones while cycling from Edirne in Turkey towards the Black Sea in Bulgaria. There was one in the town of Lalapasa, one 2 kms North of town and another near Hacidanisment. Each dolmen had a small hole that looked like a doorway, which I haven't seen anywhere else, they were made from some seriously heavy stones and different numbers of them. Another country to add to the list of countries which have dolmen within their boundaries. The graves in Hacidanisment looked far older than any I have seen in the U.k and some of them are hundreds of years old.The whole area needs futher exploration as I felt like there was alot more to see, cycling through the countryside I kept thinking I was seeing megalithic structures everywhere. I came across this cave when I was visiting Harran in Southern Turkey, close to the Syrian border. The cave system was huge but I didn't have time to explore it fully. The ceilings were massive, there were different caverns all over, there were stragne markings cut into the rock and the walls were finished off with right-angles, i.e the walls looked square or cuboid. A fascinating site and well worth further exploration. For more about my trip around Turkey click below http://www.travelblog.org/Middle-East/Turkey/blog-725314.html... read more

Gobekli Tepe is a fascinating site and only recently discovered. Along with the sphinx weathering it appears to be another significant piece of evidence suggesting human civilisation goes back further than modern academics think. The circles are officially 11,000 year old age, and are considered to be religious sanctuaries, which is a significant finding. They have uncovered 4 stone circles and radar scanning has shown that there are more to be excavated. The stones that they have uncovered have animals carved on to them and some of the carvings come out of the rock, almost like they were glued on to the side of standing stones. There are carvings of foxes, antelope and some animals that look like dinosaurs to me, there are also anthropomorphic standing stones with human arms, hands and even waist belts on ... read more
