G'day! It's a rainy day here in Cairns and as there is very little to do here when it's not sunny I thought I'd spend some time updating the old blog. This is probably going to be the penultimate entry. Sad times I know. I arrived in Sydney a few weeks ago now, and had a few days on my own before meeting up with the lads in Melbourne. Bula everybody! We've covered a lot of ground since the last blog, so I'll try and give you a run down of the highlights. South island in NZ was pretty intense, a bit of a whirlwind if I'm honest. We travelled down the West Coast, taking in some spectacular scenery on the way. Michael and I went on a coastal hike in Abel Tasmin national park with a few people from the Kiwi bus. Hello! I know it's a long time since I have written one of these things, but in my defence I did spend bloody ages writing one a week ago only for the internet to screw up at the worst possible moment. Hello everyone! We´ve been away for exactly one month now, and what better way to celebrate than looking back over the last couple of weeks! Should be emotional. Last update was from Buenos Aires, where we ended up staying for a week. It was difficult to drag ourselves away. Partly because it was an amazing city, and partly because we were so hungover every morning that the idea of getting out of bed and onto a 14 hour bus wasnt appealing. Hello everyone! I suppose it's about time for an update. We managed to tear ourselves away from Ilha Grande after a few days on the beach and a very heavy last night in a club with a dance floor made of sand. Hangovers and long boat journeys aren't all they are cracked up to be. We went down the coast to a little colonial town called Paraty. For anyone interested in Brazilian history Paraty is where the first Portuguese settlers landed and enslaved the locals. Hi everyone! Ive decided to start a blog as the best way of keeping everyone back home up to date with whats going on with our travels.
