Hello again everyone We are now in the stately city of Vienna, home of classical music and delicious schnitzel. We arrived here from Bratislava 2 days ago and before that we had been in Prague (or Praha to the locals) for three nights. Praha is probably the most beautiful city we’ve ever visited, and most other travelers would likely agree. The city is a maze of medieval cobblestone streets lined with houses that are perfectly preserved and painted in all imaginable shades of pastel. Dobry den! We are now in the Czech Republic, Prague to be exact, and we have plenty more to share since we last posted. Our last day in Berlin was fairly relaxed. Zabs and Leslie decided to take it easy and catch a movie (in English) at Potsdammer Platz, while I took the opportunity to do some solo sightseeing. I spent the morning at the Jewish History Museum, a striking building designed by the American Jewish architect Daniel Leibeskind. Hi cowtown! We are now in Berlin, possibly the coolest city in the world, and we have plenty of exciting news to tell you about. After Paris, we took the train to Brussels, Belgium where we stayed for 2 nights. Brussels is a charming little city, easily covered on foot over a few days with lots of medieval Flemish architecture and narrow little cobblestone streets. The main town square is beautiful and on our first visit to it we were treated to a professional handball match, an interesting sport that we knew absolutely nothing about. Hey Everyone! We just arrived in Brussels by train. Previous to that, we spent the last two nights in Paris with our other two travel companions, Ryan (Matt's classmate) and Leslie (my sister). On the 4th, after a long 9 hour sleepless flight, we wandered from our hostel in the 10e arrondissement down to L'Ile de la Cite, checking out the Centre Pompidou on the way. On the island, which is the old city centre, we visited the Notre Dame, the Louvre, and walked a long the Riviere Seine.
