Wow! Yes this is my word for this month. What has happened?? Well let me just tell you about last week. We just bought a new dive company and Rich Coast Diving is expanding. Hi People, Yes we have finally moved away from our little house. We found a great place with ocean view. It is up a hill and 2 stories high, we are slowly getting used to running the stairs again, man, did we have soar calfs the first 2 days. haha. We are enjoying every moment, waking up with the sound of the ocean and the monkeys howling and the birds trying to win from the monkeys. What's new?? Coco has a new supermarkt! excited??? YEAH, now we can buy almost everything (except Dutch tea and peanut butter) But eh, one can't have it all, right? What else is new? We had a little Curacao reunion this month, Jean Paul came over to assist in the IDC as well as Gerben (both intructors who used to help us out on Curacao once in a while) then Tim, Jill and their son James came over (customers form Curacao) and now we have Paul Tielemans here for 3 weeks (former Dutch marine;bloys boy and regular customer from Silent) As you can see, people are not forgetting us! We received an email from one of our Neighbors from Holland that Kim is coming with a friend, NO problem. Of course they needed to dive. First there was some anxiety, but both passed their open water coures with Martin the Guru. Now it was time to see something else of Costa Rica. Sunday we took them to Tamarindo. Walked around and spend money on food, drinks and souvenirs. Tuesday it was time to go to Tronodora, and visit Kees for his B-day. Great opportunity for the girls to see lake Arenal. Well of Course Martin passed the CD course and is now Course Director. I will post a blog about that once I am back home. Today we just came back from Semporna, where we had a great time. We went to Mabul and stayed at a long house and did 4 days of diving at Sipadan. Excellent! We also did a trip to Sepilok. Here they help the Orang Utans rehabilitate. They take care of the lost, hurt, or chased monkey, and get them ready to go back into the jungle and adapt to regular life again. In the mean time [View Full Entry]

One of my main things to see here was of course the Proboscis monkey, also known as the Dutch Monkey, why?? No not because we all have a big nose (even though some of us do..haha) This monkey was first discovered by a Duch man. Well we just passed our first day, we woke up at 4 am, but can you blame us, we left home on the 26th, arrived in Los Angeles and had a full day of shopping with Michelle, who took us to the airport at 9pm for another 14 hour flight to Taiwan. After 2 hourse we had another flight of 3.5 hours and finally arrived in Kota Kinabalu around lunch time. We just walked around a bit. Here is just a little update. Our tickets are booked and we are going to Malaysia on Feb 26th. We will stay 1 night in LA. Michelle will pick us up and we'll stay with her for teh night. Fun, loads to tell!!! We'll arrive in Malaysia on the 29th and the hotel is booked! Martin's CD course will start on the 4th, so he has a few days to relax.
