I have a reputation to keep up now!!
Today I received a Facebook request from Ismail from Istanbul who was one of our homestay students. What a pity he didn't contact me while you were in Turkey as you could have met him. Ah well! I'll just have to go there myself. M xx

Dear Martha I have greatly enjoyed your Turkey descriptions and photos. I see why it is so attractive to so many including Cleopatra. I bet she did not go in the summer! I hope your time in USA is also good. Give my love to Marjie. Love jane

Temples
You lucky buggers! I'm madly jealous - visiting these wonderful temples. And just to remind you how wise those ancient peoples were: "The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance." - Cicero - 55 BC It might not have been written in Turkey but...so what...the sentiments travel! M xx

White trees!!
Should we, or should we not, paint all the trees in our garden white so that we have no mozzies around the house? Did it seem to work? M xx

Beautiful Ceramics
This all looks so interesting and the ceramics are so beautiful. It reminds me of when we were in a similar factory in Vietnam where I very nearly bought some beautiful pots etc. Needless to say Kev talked me out of it - what is it with these men!! M xx

Love your work
Hi Phillip and Martha I have been envious every time I get yet another travel blog. Please to see that Turkey is all you hoped it would be. It certainly was for me,and some. I look forward to spending an evening on a rooftop with you both. Have you had a chance to have a look over the beautiful waterways yet. The coast is simply spectacular, maybe that is something we could share over there. Keep up the good work and enjoy... Lots of love Ron

Marry Christmas and Happy New Year
Mr Philip and Miss Martha, I was very busy in this 3 month, because I have a job and part-time job at Adult Night School. Now i have a short break, but I will take some time to prepare for 2nd term lesson. I must keep to read your travel blog to grow up my English. Keep in touch.
