Laos Blog response
Hello. Laos is excellent, the waterfall at Luang is a must see. We didnt do the south but the northern part was beautiful. I was on Doxy, made me feel a little dodgy at times but if taken at breakfast it was ok. My girlfriend was on Mallerone. She felt nauseous and was sick frequently. She recommends taking soemthing else if you can. The doxy was ok and cheaper! saying that we were both pleased to get off them in Thailand. Lots of people dont take anything but i wouldnt recommend that, theres alot of mozzys around and malaeria is riskier in laos. how were you recommended the blog? hope this helps, have a good trip!

Hello I was recommended your blog as I'll be going here in a week or 2. Everything sounds amazing. Except the illness! What pills are you on so I know which to avoid?! Thanks and have a great time x

Birthday Greetings
Hi Suzanna, this to wish you MANY HAPPY RETURNS of the 15th August. We now understand that you will be in Singapore for your birthday and hope you celebrate the day in style. Many thanks to you both for continuing with the most interestingly informative blogs, which ,as usual, we have enjoyed. Had a good weekend with Mum and Dad. Needed pictures of animals for a Photographic Club project. Mum suggested the Pet Farm at Trent Park where I managed some pictures of goats and a cutout of a fox, but the rabbits had absconded. However at Hatfield there were steel scultures of a lion and a roaring beast, so there will be something to show, even if it is not as expected. Traffic on the M25 was heavy going to and from home, mostly due to cars and lorries filtering in from other motorways and miles of roadworks, which will eventually make things much better. Enjoy the rest of your travels. As usual, love to you both from Granny and Grandad.

Fantastic photos!
Sounds like you've been on another emotional roller coaster! The photos are great and Angkor Wat looks amazing. Mark, you have to stop scaring the local monkey population! Back to Thailand again, it will seem like going home! Enjoy the rest of your trip, love mum xxxxxxx

Crikey!
Hey guys, Loving the blog. I have to say I am very jealous of all that you two have seen - (Angkor Wat!) and once again want to set off and go travelling again! It's good to hear that you've got your bartering hats on. Jenni and I were pretty useless at first, there's definately a knack to it! Enjoy the rest of the time you've got out there, you'll miss once your back :) See you soon. Joe.

Good to hear Vietnam lived up to your expectations eventually. I knew you would find the tunnels interesting having read so much about them and its good to see the museum, although horrific and draining. Travelling is about life changing experiences and you certainy seem to have had one. I knew you would try to outdo Jeremy Clarkson Mark - can not wait to see it! Take care, enjoy Cambodia, love mum xxxxx

Hello! glad to hear you are enjoying south vietnam! Great you have had a Vietnamese evening out and have had a comfortable few days in Mui ne. Cu Chi tunnels sound horrific, great Mark had read about what had happened, im sure it was very interesting. Arrived home from Benicassim last night, we had a great time, but glad to be away from the heat and sand. (I hate sand) much love x

Good to hear your news
Sorry to hear north vietnam was a bit disappointing but glad its improving as you travel south. Glad you liked Halong Bay, we found it pretty amazing too! Mark, have you had a suit made like Jeremy Clerksons? Knowing you it will be even more whacky! Take care, much love mum and dad xxx

ps
PS Forgot to tell you about the wildlife at home. Mr and Mrs Robin are busy on the patio feeding their young. They love to perch on the washing line before they fly to their nest. Dad makes us vacate the table and chairs when they are around! It has been so hot that we have been sitting outside to eat. Last Monday a baby bird flew into your room Suzanna. It was stuck behind the curtains that were closed. I could see two little legs on the window sill. Managed to open the window and it flew across the road to a tree. How does it compare with what you have seen? Bit tame I suspect but interesting. Mum.xxx

We are having lovely hot weather here but its nothing compared to the temperature where you are. Hope you are both feeling better, take care, much love mum and dad (maureen and richard) x

good to follow the blog
It is great to be able to follow your travels via the blog.It gives us a really good idea of how you are getting along. Your latest experiences have been mixed but the photos and video clips are really good. Back home the weather is still very warm and we need some rain. Believe it or not there are still a few England flags up despite our dismal defeat a week ago. Tennis has been good but disappointing now as Murray is out even though he played really well. Keep blogging! We really appreciate it. Mum/Dad. Caroline and George.

yo ho hanoi!
Hello Mark and Suz, It sounds as though you are having an incredible time! Laos looks stunning, idillic infact! Sorry to hear Suz has been unwell, expecially in Hanoi which sounds as stressful as I found New Delhi! South East Asia sounds very interesting, when the people are friendly it really does add to the experience! I am now convinced I will have to go sometime! On the day of the england game Joe and I tried our hand at some watersports; wakeboarding and knee boarding! I only wish the lake we were falling into was as nice and clear as that Lagoon! Enjoy Vietnam! Im looking forward to pictures of Haylong bay! Speak soon! xxx

Bit nervous about the next part of your journey, hope all goes well and according to plan. We are off to Florence on our much awaited trip. Not too much sun and lots of culture we hope! Love Mum/Dad. Caroline/George.

Thank you for enjoyable blogs
Dear Suzanna and Mark, We have just finished reading your final blog from Australia. As with all of them it was very descriptive and thank you for keeping everyone so well informed of your activities. Reading them took priority over all else and Granny even abandoned the ironing to read your adventures. It all sounds so very enjoyable and we are glad you have had a good time on your journey. Thank you also for the photos which portray your adventures very well. We send best wishes for the rest of your tour. Our overseas trip this year will be across the Solent to the Isle of Wight when Alan comes over from Canada in September and we have a few days in the Bembridge hotel. Other than that, we anticipate trips out such as our local sea front and country behind. Litlehampton Harbour has a very good cafe and plenty of places where Granny can ride her scooter. A recent highlight for her was a shopping trip to Sainsburys where she was able to bowse the isles on her scooter. Oh for some warmer weather. After the recent brief spell of hot weather, it has turned cold again with wind coming from the north. Yesterday we had much needed rain for the first time in ages. This coincided with a visit from Mum and Dad and we had a enjoyable day. Molly stayed at home with Jenni, but we were able to send her some "Molly meat". Mark, this is small pieces of meat left over and frozen until such times as we meet witrh Mum and Dad. Again, enjoy the rest of your trip. Love from Granny and Grandad/Glenys and John.
