Here are some pictures of our Trip in Newquay. Newquay is located on the south west coast of England. It was a three-four hour drive from our house. The weather was really nice, but COLD and very windy. We spent a lot of time driving around. Our favourite stops were St. Ives, Lands End (kind of cheesy, but nice coastal walk), and The Lizard. The Lizard was my favourite, because it was the most southern point. There was hardly anything there except a small cafe, an old rescue station, steep cliffs, and really blue water. This year, Mark has spent almost a week a month at different courses for work which means that he is sometimes gone for a week. As you have seen from a previous blog, I am a big chicken when it comes to staying home alone here. I have no clue why I am like that, but every noise I hear means somebody is coming to get me. Christmas in Scotland Yes I know Christmas was a while ago, but I wanted to put pictures up. Here is just a short version of what we did while there. Mark and I drove up to Perth, Scotland and spent about a week up there. We had a busy but lovely time up there. We went to see Mary Poppins on Ice at the Dundee ice arena. It was very cute. December 5, 2007 It has been a while since I have updated the blog. I guess that is a good thing since it means I have been busy. We finally have a Kitchen sink. It was interesting preparing food for Thanksgiving without a kitchen sink. Thanksgiving was at Aly and Andy's house this year. I am now happy to say that I am a Rugby Fan. On Friday night we went to see the Gloucester vs. Ospreys (a wales team). I really don't know that much about Rugby or any of the teams for that matter, so I asked about a million questions. Andy, his mate Paul, and Mark were very helpful and patient. We had so much fun. Everything but the kitchen sink When I was a younger girl, (I would like to always consider myself as young) I remember going into Ollie’s Bargain Outlet with my parents and they said, “wow, they have everything but the kitchen sink” I looked around and said, “no, there is a kitchen sink over there”. Our house must have bad luck or maybe it is us. Today was the supposed to be the start of our kitchen installation. I woke up bright and early so I could shower before Mark went to work as I wasn’t sure the exact time the installer was going to arrive. Happy Halloween, I am bored so I thought I would write an update. I am taking a break from cutting down the jungle that is our backyard. I have decided that I really need a job. I need money and I need interaction. Our neighbor has a dog that is in their back garden all day when they are at work. October 6th, 2007 We flew home to Annapolis for Kara and Steve’s wedding. We had such a great time and she is a beautiful bride. It was great to see all of Kara’s family some of whom I haven’t seen in a long time. Both Kara and Steve have wonderful families and I am so happy for them. I can’t wait until the family expands.
