Jumbo
Some store, wasn't it? We went to one in Santiago, Chile 14 or 15 years ago and it had 52 checkstands - EVERY ONE OF WHICH WAS OPEN!!! Unforgettable... Thanks for blogging. I loved reading every word.

Sintra!
I think the ceramics they make there are exquisitely beautiful. Bought one to give to a friend and then couldn't part with it once back again. I'll try to keep up with this. You're so smart to do this as you go along, photos and all. Don't forget to try to drop by "Hogan's" for a quick half and a packet of crisps. I'm coming to Portland, hopefully staying with you, Jan. 12. Sam said he'd pick me up. I want to go see my friend Joan in Myrtle Point and may try to fly with her husband 1/13 when he goes back home. Love!

RIght
I so enjoyed your posting. I found that place to be exactly how you described it. I got a Premier mp4 player while on my trip and it really made the experience worthwhile http://mp4player.ebiz4uproducts.com/bl/dp.x?p=2097950 . I also got some pretty good mosquito repellent made by the locals there. They told me that if you mix mud lemon and salt it would work better than bugspray. Needless to say I had to try it out because the mosquito repellant was not working. So I did it and I was relieved and amazed. I give everyone this tip because it changed my perspective of meeting with locals. Check out other tips I have at my blogg and feel free to join http://phototraveltips.blogspot.com/search?q=travel Happy Travels
