Debit disasters - From: St Marteen
Jim had his card compromised the 4-6th. 17 charges to Exxon Mobil, McDonalds, Wendys, Burger King, grocery shopping at Stop and Shop and Walmart. Glad they got plenty to eat and gas for those 3 days. Now time for them to pay it back. 1000 dollars. Cancelled card and have to wait for all of them to post before a claim can be made. 31.12 still hasn't posted. Jim had to call himself, but the jerk could use his identity without a problem using it as a credit card as they didn't have his pin number. Good lluck and thank you for sharing.

Hiring a Car is essential - From: Martinique by car
We've just spent six months in Martinique. If you come to Martinique you MUST rent a car. Martinique is nothing like St Lucia and the other English islands. Public transport is not recommended, like the rest of the Caribbean and the taxis are expensive. I agree, driving in Martinique is a pleasure by Caribbean standards. In fact it is just like driving in France. For information on driving in Martinique and a list of car hire firms list website was useful: http://www.discover-martinique.co.uk.html

WOW - From: Sunset Beach, St. Martin
A little sand blasting going on there, you don't get the true effect unless you are there, but still darn impressive. Try to catch up now and then where your sailing your boat. Missed happy birthday wishes to both of you. Will we be seeing you in FLA August?? Hope the wind is in your sails and not in your shorts. Happy sailing. L.

Fun - From: Thanksgiving.
If fun is to be found these two are the ones that will find it. It looks like you have had a wonderful hurricane season back in the US. The Carribbean misses you so get your selves back to where: The weather is here I wish you were beautiful The skies are too clear life's easy today The beer is too cold, the daiquiri's too fruitful There's no place like home when it's this far away I don't care what they say Coconut Telegraph by Jimmy Buffett
