Hi Rebecca I must be just behind you, I had the delights of climbing Villarica on Tuesday! Can you let me know your plans and maybe I can meet up with you. We're heading south to Coyhaique on the ferry tomorrow and should be at Torres del Paine by the weekend. Keep having fun (and eating steak!) x

It´s funny, but this blog has provoked the most reaction yet, in emails and comments on the website. Obviously everyone can identify with the dirty need for a Maccy D´s! x

Galapagos - From: The Enchanted Islands
Hi, I went with a company called G.A.P adventures and booked it before leaving the UK - I knew when I´d be there as it was after my volunteering. Their boat was the GAP Explorer 2 . They were a v good company and the guide was great. If you went for a standard boat rather than tourist class you could probably save some money, but obviously you´d lose out on things like comfort/quality of food etc. Depends on how important that is to you. I met a few volunteers while was in Quito who had volunteered on Isabella (one of the islands) some worked with tortoises, others in local schools. They generally had lots of free time, so that might be a cheaper option for you. Obviously though you´d be limited to just that island, although you could book tours once you were there to the other islands. Anyway, the link to GAP is: http://www.gapadventures.com/tour/EV06Z . Hope that´s of some help. Rebecca

Laughed - From: On being an old fart.....
Oh that made me laugh on a monday. Thats so you but the comment about the not drinking is very funny! I ahd an e-mail from my friend BB ( who used to work for EMI) she has just arrived in South America on her round the world trip and is off to do the Inca trail around the same time as you. I told her to look out for a small red head from Ealing. Would be very funny if you met up with her. Axx
