They will be in Rome for TWO WEEKS Lucky lucky team awesome. Katie went down with them for the first week only. From what I have head everyone is having a lovely time down there. It has a much calmer rehearsal period then last years. We have three new actors Sophie Xander and Eughen. The first week Xander was still on tour doing a panto so Team Brilliant now Me Helen Sophie and Eughen rehearsed most of our shows. Felt a little slothful but knowing that Irsquom going back to work on the 7th I donrsquot feel too bad. On the first I slept in again okay so pretty much every day this week I havenrsquot gotten out of bed for before 10am1000. Lin Wae and I went for caf in the afternoon and showed one another pictures of our homes. Lin Wae as well as be http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/blog-360434.html Heading South but Back for New Years On December 27th Tanya and I got on the 10am train. To my very pleasant surprise the tickets to Naples were only 19 euro instead of the 40 euro as listed on the TrenItalia website. The train ended up taking about an hour longer but I think 21 euro are is certainly worth an hour of my time. It breaks down to only slightly less then what I get paid per show without bonuses anyway. We caught t http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/blog-360433.html A Much More Christmassy Holiday Then I Imagioned Arrived safe and sound in Foligno at 10am. Foligno and Spello where I will be staying are in the Umbria province of Italy in the middle about midcalf of the boot. A little achy from the train the six hour train from Genova to Rome I had to spend sitting on the floor of the narrow hallway. Second class was the six seater style compartments and I had not been assigned a seat. We set off Sunday night and after a three hour drive found our hotel. It was raining and after about five minuets of knocking and buzzing we were greeted by a VERY talkative and well meaning but overly helpful hotel manager. After about half an hour of going http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/blog-352771.html Week of Good Eats and Thinking of Home While on the Road Tuesday we had yet another easy day. I canrsquot believe how down the bookings are. Everyone has been fighting the winter chest cold. Tom Tom got very confused and it took us quite a while to get to Costa Masnaga near Lecco. Had a quiet evening in the little town. Just stayed in in our crappy little room with the window that overlookedsmelled a plumbing construction project. However http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/blog-350710.html First Snow in my Italian Adventure Woke up this morning to SNOW I am glad I didnrsquot stay in Federicorsquos flat in Padova alone and come back to Milano today Monday because one I was very happy to see everyone and two I wouldnrsquot have been here to go to Bergamo with Laura this morning to pick up Helen and her brother. We met them in the late morning and spent a few hours together in the new snow in beautiful Berg http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/Lombardy/Bergamo/blog-348478.html Week of Sweet Digs Mestra near VeronaSo we spent a lazy two days in Milan. Got lots of laundry done and house keeping stuff. Chris Laura and I drove two hours to a small town outside of Venice. After some confusion in finding the BB we arrived to a lovely homey flat. Tons of books on the shelves. Comfy big beds. I was asked to please take the single room because my cold I think has been causing me to s http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/blog-348475.html TOURING SCHEDUAL UNTIL WINTER HOLIDAY BREAK as of Nov 17. There is a teacherseducation strike in Italy I donrsquot really understand it but apparently bookings are WAY down and they are still taking bookings so schedules are liable to change.Nov 19 Mestre near VeniceNov 2021 Lonigo near VicenzaNov 22 Seminar in VicenzaNov 23 Sunday we always have offNov 2425 Also OffNov 26 Costa Masnaga near LeccoNov 27 Sondrio http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/blog-346233.html Verona is for LOVERS So I arrived at the station and then had to wait a half hour for the bus. Vic texted me and asked me to meet her at the Roman Theatre. So I took the bus there and then as I got off I called Vic from under the theatro Roma sign. As I called I had an inkling that she was near the Roman arena which is also used as theatre and someone who had never been to Verona which Vic hadnrsquot would ea http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/Veneto/Verona/blog-346231.html Finally Home in the Milano Flat Thursday was a lovely day. Went out on Wednesday evening with one of the young women from the office Raf and Jake returned from Milano. So I was very grateful to got to sleep in and then left for the riding lesson around 3pm1500. The lesson was certainly not worth the 22 euros. The horses seemed really board and constantly needed to be encouraged to go. Laura is quite an experienced rider http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/blog-346229.html Hamburg I shared a ride to Hamburg with a man named Sven and a nineteen year old guy who was serving his civil service time in the army. His station was in Bulgaria. I was dropped off at my hostel around 11pm2300 and I decided after taking a little walk around to find a cash machine that I would get a proper night sleep as I had grown accustom to only having about four every night. I checked into In http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Germany/District-of-Hamburg/Hamburg/blog-315841.html
