The rain in spain falls mainly on the plain . . .
Awww. This blog makes me miss you so much! Your trip with Em sounds like you had an awful time, but a fabulous time, all at the same time! Lots of good stories and pictures. Like our freezing ass camping trip and cold chili in Denali. It sounds better than it really was. But then later you look back on it with a crazy amount of fondness. I hope you have a blast in Rome! It's a crazy city, but amazing history. But you're going to do it right. Take your time and stay and work there. Some day when you get back to a computer you'll have to let us know how it all went. I'm bummed you're missing Venice. That was Trav and my favorite town on our entire Europe trip. Did I mention lately that you rock? I just had to throw that in. I miss you!!!

I'm in love with Saba too! I lived there for two and half years while my husband attended the medical school there! We moved back about six months ago and I miss it so much! Especially this time of year. Seeing your photos made me long for that little island, and my little house in Lower Hells Gate that had a 180 degree view of the ocean! Loved the pictures. I'm gad you found this gem of an island during your travels.

Looks Like Paradise.
So, you may have found your place? I could see you settling down in a place like Saba. Not exactly the little grass hut, but much more unique. Have fun and enjoy the sunshine until you have to go to the winter of the northern hemisphere!

Tortola, BVI's
Hey, I have been reading your blogs and I'm so envious of your travels. I go to the BVI's all the time. It is one of the most beautiful places. I'm sure you will be visiting Tortola while you are there. Make sure you stop by the Bomba Shack. For an amazing sunset go to Bananakeet. The food there is also great. Also go to Cane Garden Bay to hear Quito play. Take the ferry to Jost Van Dyke and have a painkiller at the Soggy Dollar bar!! You must also go to Virgin Gorda and visit the Baths. Enjoy your travels. IF you want to email me my email is ellynpaige@mac.com

Looks like awesome fun!
Mae, I'm so proud of you!! I'm totally beaming right now. You rock, chica! I'm going to forward this blog link to Travis. Maybe we can pick a part of your trip that we really want to see and plan to come visit you. I've always wanted to go to Thailand, and Australia, and . . . the list goes on. Anyway, I can't believe how many friends you have made and how ingrained you have gotten in the island in such a short time. I'm totally impressed. It just speaks for your personality and your sunny, happy, outgoing nature. You are such an awesome person, and you totally deserve this fabulous trip you are on. I'm so proud of you for actually doing it! Live it up and have all the fun you can!
