I'm from Canada , and currently doing my exchange in the Netherlands, I'm gonna be heading to Dublin, Ireland for St. Patrick's day, and will most likely be visiting Italy for my birthday in May..so far that's what I have planned..
I hope tp colour in the map as much as I can!

I'm doing an exchange program in Groningen, Netherlands and will be here for about 6 months!
I currently go to Ryerson back home in Toronto, and I decided that I wanted to travel and get away from the hometown, to open my eyes up and to see what else is out there.

I am very new to the travelling scene, and I hope to meet lots of people along the way..I know this will be an adventure I will never forget, and I want to share my adventures with you through here!

xo

My last day in Paris and decided to see Sacre Coeur and do the river cruise. I tried to go up to the Eiffel Tower again, but the line was still wayyy too long and decided that waiting 4 hours was not worth it. Also I hurt my ankle for some reason and didn't want to do too much walking. Sorry for the late and short post, but I have more pics to put up from my recent trip...Barcelona! [View Full Entry]

The Louvre was HUGE! Amazing museum, but to visit this place, you really have to be in the mood to see it. I was there for about 3.5 hrs and I was tired afterwards and I didn't even get to see one of the wings just cause I couldn't be bothered, but I did see the main attractions, such as the Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo, and other greek sculptures. It's a beautiful museum, but I did go during a busy time, it was Easter Week-end, so there were many many tourists in the important areas. The Mona Lisa was a [View Full Entry]

It's been awhile since I've updated my blog, but here are more of my pics of my Paris trip! This was on April 12th and I went to the Picasso museum, Jewish Quarter, and Jewish Art & History Museum..I also went to the "world famous falafel" place, called La's. I was very excited for this falafel, but they weren't serving it cause it was Passover..so I opted for the lamb meal, with matzah :) Later on that day, I met up with Jen and Lenny and her parents for dinner..brought me back some goodies from Toronto, i.e. my favourite eyeliner and [View Full Entry]

Paris is such an amazing city! I don't even know where to start... I was there for Easter week-end, and tried to do as much as I can in those few days..there was just so many sights to see that I unfortunately could not go to all of them. Although I did go to the main sights, The Louvre, Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower (although I didn't go up, cause the line was SOO LONG, like 4 hrs long), Arc de Triumphe, Basilique du Sacre- Coeur, went to the Jewish Quarter, Musee d'art et d'histoire du Judaisme, Picasso Museum and did the [View Full Entry]

We have been spoiled here in the Netherlands... When I left for Ireland it had been raining, raining and yea you guessed it more rain... The same thing goes for Ireland, it supposedly rains there all the time, but the time I was there, not a drop fell on the ground, it was just sunshine all the way through St. Paddy's! I have never seen so much sun ever since I got here..haha, seriously! 7 days in a row!! Woohooo So yesterday my friends and I decided to enjoy the sunshine. We walked to the city and went to the market [View Full Entry]

St. Patrick's day was a lot of fun..although we had to wait for a couple of hours for it to start. O'Connell St. was just jam-packed with people, all were wearing of course green and other green accessories, such as the really big hats, necklaces, and whistles! We were there early, and even then there was a lot of people trying to find the best place where they can see the route.. Many marching bands were there, and a lot of animated floats. Overall good fun, and I'm glad I went to my very first St. Patrick's parade in Ireland! [View Full Entry]

The Guinness Storehouse factory was pretty cool. We stayed there for a couple of hours, and it was a little exhausting! But it was nice to get a complimentary pint of Guinness, which by the way I poured myself! You even get a certificate saying I poured the 'perfect pint'..haha I really wanted to check out the Jameson Whiskey Factory, but unfortunately I didn't have enough time to check it out...but hope you enjoy these Guinness photos and that you had a pint on St. Paddy's!! I celebrated St. Patrick's in Ireland and what an amazing time I had there! I don't think it will ever be the same back home as it there, plus I would never find a Guinness with Black Currant..haha Dublin was such a wonderful place, the city was just so lively, and everyone was so friendly. The hospitality of the Irish people was just fantastic! Even though I stayed there for a few days, it wasn't enough to see the whole city. I did the bus tour, where you hop on and off, and I checked out Trinity College and The Guinness [View Full Entry]

After my introduction week, which was the second week of me being here in The Netherlands, I had a spring break which was awesome..cause I haven't even started school yet! So I ended taking a trip to Copenhagen, Denmark because one of my friends was doing her exchange there. I had a fantastic time, except for the cold weather, snow and how expensive the city is. I had a latte and it cost me about $8, or a can of Diet coke for about $3. I tried not to convert the Krone into dollars, but I had to so that I [View Full Entry]

This blog will have pictures of mostly me going out with my new friends. The second week of me being here, I went to this bar/club called the Rumba with Laura, and did a pub crawl with some of my new school friends. I've been meeting a lot of people from different countries, such as Poland, Finland, Germany, USA, France and England. It's an easier transition now, since I have met this people. But during my first week, I was having a really hard time because I missed everyone back home and I didn't know anyone here yet, so I was [View Full Entry]
