The weekend of March 14th couldn’t have arrived fast enough. It was the weekend after my first paper was due and I had my exam the following Monday (my 21st birthday) and I was finally going to see people from HOME and I was so excited to show them where I had been living for the past three months! It all started on Saturday, March 14th and I was taking the train to meet Gail, Mary and Tash in Liverpool, the hometown of THE BEATLES! After my two week traveling hiatus, it was time for a lovely weekend in what turned out to be one of my favorite places I have ever been to, Scotland. Oh my goodness, it was so gorgeous!!! We (Lindsey and I) left on Friday night and arrived in the capital, Edinburgh. We got in pretty late-around 11pm or so- so all we did was walk to find our hostel/hotel. It was called The West End Hotel and it was the nicest place I have stayed my whole trip, but it was really expensive. We didn’t have any other choice though because we started booking too late. Manchester was a blast! It was a couple of weekends ago, but school has taken over my life like a plague so I haven't had a change to blog all about it. But, I want to share my awesome weekend with everyone. So here it goes... I really wanted to go to Manchester because I promised Matt that I would go for his favorite soccer team, Manchester United. After looking into it more I found out that there was a lot to see there and that it had an interesting history and a very large gay community! Which was pretty fascinating. Hello Everyone! I just want to start off by saying how much I miss you all. Don't get me wrong, I am having a great time, but there are still some times that I just wish I could be home too. :-) Anyhow, I spent all that time telling you about my trip to London and I never even got to mention how my stay in Leicester has been thus far.
