Road to the Sun 1
On this trip we also took a train. We picked up the train, Empire Builder, in Chicago and ended in in Glacier Park Montana. To be honest it was not that scenic. It was a nice ride and all but all the States were flat. We didn't see Mountains until Montana and then we got off. Glacier Park is a great park. I saw my first bear there. Saw both black bear and Grizly. Many different tours to go on here. I took two. I took a boat tour of one of the lakes and I took a tour to the "Road to the Sun". Both tours were great. Crater lake
San Francisco To Crater Lake. We took the California Zephyr amtrak from Chicago to San Francisco. What a very scenic train trip. The best amtrak trip I have taken and I have taken practically all of them except the Soutwest Chief. Train Going through the Rockies Train Ride Through Utah Sunrise In Nevada On Train We spent a couple of days in San Francisco. Took a tour and there are many different ones so look at all you get before investing. From San Francisco we drove a rental car to Crescent City. It was awesome going through the Redwood Forest. Sunrise
I went to Niagara Falls for a weekend. It was great. The weather was warm to not hot. I did all the tourist things. I must suggest if one goes there to get up early because the crowds come and then the lines are very long. ... read more
