EIRE

Europe » Ireland » County Dublin » Dublin
Back Home!after almost a Year so good to be back in the dirty old town, just had time now to upload the xmas pics. So good to see again Nicoletta & Shane with their little Giulia, Nicola & Miriam, party House, the old lads in Camden Street (the house is still there, just falling apart a bit) Cassy and Micheal and so on, then Phil at the Bleeding horse, just one day but it was the same day one year before I flew to Ko Lanta to see him!then my same room! Ireland is still number one, and always be, even [View Full Entry]

Bella Italia Crown

 Oceania » Australia » Victoria » Melbourne
What can u say about the "Bella Italia" phenomenon that hasn't been said in these last 10 months.. It has been a very demanding and funny experience, not to mention the fact that I had the chance to meet quite wonderful and interesting people.. Di Rolle is my favourite and Daiki Horita is the cutest Japanese chef I've ever met (well not that I meet chef every day..) anyway enjoy the pics and see you all soon..quite very soon.. Hi ALL! Long time since my last entry but have been quite busy during the last months.. as u know here's pretty cold compared to the "mild" temperature all over europe, innit? Just a qwick collage of pics from the Winter Party in Melbourne City lanes, the nite out with the staff after the 5th June (Business Awards Nightmare!!) the Tempo restaurant and the National Italian Day in Australia to celebrate the 61st Anniversary of the Italian Republic with the Melbourne Italian Festival. something that the italian community over here really cherish as a way to feel closer to home and [View Full Entry]

46th Floor

 Oceania » Australia » Victoria » Melbourne
That's Melbourne
That's Melbourne
see the yellow Flinders Station and more on the left the spire of the Arts Centre.. and my favourite Eureka tower
That's Melbourne from the Top of the ANZ building. Immage to have an office on the 46 floor and huge windows all the way down to each wall and very little space to surfaces other than glass.. During these 2 weeks there are also the FINA championship and funny entertainers in Federation Square.. Enjoy. Next idea is to get a trip on one of the air baloons that every weekend at the daybreak flies over a city still on hangover form its saturdays.. [View Full Entry]

The Southern point of the region its in a beautiful Park of the Wilson pormontory. After a lighthouse on the way there we entered the park where (if u r lucky and u r coming at the right time)u can see all sort of animals in their wild life. We spotted few Kangaroos, a couple of rabbits, one little Kidna (kind of porcupine) no Koala this time and plenty of Birds.. Then u can choose among different paths bringing u to pristine beaches or view points on hills or cliffs on the sea. The weather is still mild and doesnt make [View Full Entry]

At the end

Long Bank Holiday weekend for Easter so we dashed off to Philip Island, luckly enough the weather was awesome and obviously the Ocean is always the Ocean! We had to wait on the beach till 7 pm to get to see the first penguins rushing off the water to go back to their burrows. It's kind of a protected park so we couldn't take any pics but inside the "Museum". ciao [View Full Entry]

The Bridge
On Sunderland Bay
On the way to Cowes

Still going around and planning to have a look at every new area of the city at least once a week, obviously there r must see attractions/locations but the overall urban area has its unique and distinctive features anyway according to each zone u r in. The long St. Kilda avenue offers a wonderful example of many architectual experiments and new buildings with planty of funky skycrapers and a smart use of glass and windows to decorate in a non conventional way. plus getting closer to downtown immerse in a huge park there's the Shrine of Remebrance to commemorate the values [View Full Entry]

Docklands

 Oceania » Australia » Victoria » Melbourne » Docklands
Well Yesterday S.Paddy's day was well celebrated here too. hope u had a good craic over there as well I guess, I was forced to watch the Irish team playng cricket against Pakistan.. anyway. On Sunday instead there was the Thai Festival in Federation square, it was a nice way to remember the smell and the flavours of the Thai experience. The Docks are pretty nice, design, offices and lots of restaurants. I want to take the opportunity to rise my simpathy for the case of David Hicks. Don't know if his case (like many others actually) it's on the press [View Full Entry]
