I taught for two days with Adama, my Fulbright exchange teacher and then handed over the keys. He survived his first day yesterday, only slightly bruised. Now I have only days before I leave. Too much to do, and too little time. The impending sadness of telling my mom goodbye and my friends of 20 years is creeping into my daily thoughts. Have already shed some silent tears and am trying not to dwell on any airport scene. After going to Washington, D.C. July 31st through August 3rd, I am feeling much better. I met my exchange partner there, as well as the other two American Fulbrighter single women who will live in the same apartment building as I and the other two Senegalese teachers who will teach in Colorado and Boston. My exchange partner is a real delight....very funny, smart, excellent French and English. I think he'll do fine at Bullard.
