I don't have a map made up, but if I did it would look a lot blanker than yours for US travel. Plus, I would not count places I do not remember as a young child, like Hawaii, the first state I immigrated through from Japan.

I think I didn't write this correctly, if their reservations about a lone, not-young woman taking on this trail comes across as rude! They were all quite polite--they just looked politely dubious. And that, of course, spurred me on to actua;;y go further than I might have otherwise. MDL

AFB cradle gone
I had to laugh at the AFB stict rules not allowing you inside. I, too, born on an Air Force base in 1962 , Tachikawa AFB, in Japan. I went back to see where I was born and the entire base was gone! The whole area re-developed into tall apartment buildings.

I completely understand his point of view, Life is epehemeral, it's this moment that is real, and it's aleways the same day. One of these days your sister may surprise herself. I could help her you know, I have healed many like that.... but there isn't a chance in hell since she's related to you, and thus to me. Have fun out there!
