Thanks for sharing
I will be travelling to Peru in March 2012 and reading your blog was most informative and very entertaining! I've been to Macchu Picchu before so this time I'm planning to visit Arequipa and the jungle if possible. Do you know if there were just a tad little more comfortable accommodations than the ones you and Jeff had in the Amazonas? Thanks!

Peru March 2012
Hi There, There was a number of other places along the Amazonas, but you certainly had to pay a lot more and the further you go into the Amazonas, the more you have to pay. If I was to go back again and had more time, I would probably pay the extra few hundered $ and extend my stay. When you do find a place you like either via a tourist site, always contact the hotel direct, you will get a better price.

motion + altitude sickness
Love your pictures. We are going to Peru for 14 days. I have a problem with motion sickness. If I add this to altitude sickness - looks like a lot. Could you please advise how to deal with it? Does going to Colca on the 2nd day of our arrival make sens? Thx Zofia

Wild pigs in dorm.
Sounds like you're having a great time. Caroline must have been waiting out in the hall way for you guys to wake up - she was too scared to go in listening to the snores and grunts - she probably thought two wild pigs had got in her room!

Brett Files
Thanks Brett, we should have our pre tennis training over here in the high altitude, we wouldn´t be so short on breathe then when we play back home. Beer is good, the one I like is Casquela (spelt something like that) and another one we have tried is the Arequipa beer which would be second favourite, the first few clear your system like the old XXXX did. after that your right to go.

Photos are great, you need more with you in them as it is good to see your face! Guinea Pig sounds awful and how can you eat such sweet faced creatures as an Alpaca? Loved the Bazil photo. xx
