I'm glad I found your blog Looks like a great town to explore. You must be American as you are comparing it to Lake Tahoe. Sorry you will sick but your body needed the rest. You've been exposed to a lot of things your body is not used to. Glad you are feeling better. That is very cool that you taught them how to make spaghetti. Happy travels.
Awesome stories! It is amazing how locals are more than willing to help out tourists. It makes for a great story and you end up learning more about the culture than if you were to only take the shuttles or book through hostels, etc.
P.S. I got your postcard and squealed with delight. I read it aloud to Megan and we laughed at your funny comments about traveling abroad!
As a human of this Earth, I love to explore. I am an environmentalist who lives for adventures off the beaten path. My joy comes from meeting new people, trying new foods, exposure to new cultures, and visiting the regions very few Americans will ever see. I've visited countries like Ireland, France, Singapore, Australia, and Hong Kong. My latest journey has taken me on a jaunt through the Southwestern provinces of China; Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan, Yunnan, and Sichuan. I hope you will enjoy reading what I've shared. Perhaps you too will be inspired to 'never stop exploring'. ... full info
