Port Huron KOA
Port Huron KOA
It had tons of stuff but way too crowded
We had two huge KOA campgrounds in a row. In Port Huron we ate dinner at the Angry Bill and then rented a 4 person bike to cruise around in. Brendan drove like he was in Mario Kart. Then it was across the border where we were searched and had to go through immigration (not like the last time). Went to Niagara falls after dinner and Brendan and I went into the haunted house. Very dark and scary. [View Full Entry]

So far the nicest place that we have all stayed
we got a late start but headed towards Big Sable Lighthouse, a 4 mile hike through the state park. We were able to climb to the top and look around. We then spent some R+R in the campground and went to the Mason County Fair at night for the Off Road Derby. Very cool, loud and some strange way to give out prizes ("Who is missing a finger?") Heading for Port Huron tomorrow (about 4 hours). [View Full Entry]

WE only stayed there one night but went and to a brewery for a tour, had some samples and had homemade ice cream all before noon. Then we set off for Green Bay and just missed the last tour of the day. [View Full Entry]

We were unable to get the 10 AM tour at LAmbeau Field (we are the Griswolds). So we took some more photos and headed down to GB. Tried to get gas at a place that was swarming with old ladied and left. Got to the ferry and had someone else drive the PIG onto the boat. They also loaded on some big trucks. The ferry was very nice (the SS Badger) and ran on coal. we brought our lunch and had a nice 4 1/2 hour cruise acrossed lake michigan. we got to the campground (photos coming later) and had some [View Full Entry]

We passed through some more storms on this leg of the journey and just missed the 4:30 tour. We went to Lambeau Field for dinner at Curly's. The stadium looks really nice. [View Full Entry]

The whole morning were weather alerts for tornados, hail, high winds we missed it all
After Noreen and Sean left it was time for Brendan and I to drive the 200+ miles to the Minneapolis Airport. He was an excellent navigator. I do not recommend bringing and RV to an airport. Very stressful. We picked up William and Jeannine and headed for Chippewa Falls. We pulled into the first campground and heard banjos so we immediately went to another down the road that was HUGE. Had some burgers and tossed the frisbee. Plan on doing a brewery tour and then head to Green Bay this afternoon. [View Full Entry]

We had an easier drive this day on our way to Fargo, ND. The town is nothing like I remember from the movie. A lot of recent development. Nor and Sean left on the 20th from Hector International Airport (which I found out is really true unless you call minneapolis or denver foreign cities). They had an early flight so there are some sunrise photos as well. [View Full Entry]

Driving Conditions
The morning started off with some thick smog (and odor when we past the Sulfur Caldron)
What a haul. We left at 6:30 AM Mountain time and pulled in at 10 PM Central Time. Stopped in Livingston, Montana... a rest stop in Montana and for dinner in Glendive, Montana. The theme... we were in Montana the whole day! Towards the end of the trip (the last 100 miles or so) we got to follow a storm and then go through it. Hopefully it washed off all of the bugs! We also saw a rainbow from end to end. [View Full Entry]
