| 20th July 2009 Simon | Nice Spider! - From: Ecology in Ecuador (and a bit of beach fun...) Hello, looks like you're are having an amazing time and its unbelievable to think that you'll soon be back in the UK. South America looks awesome, might head out there one day, need to get a job first :) Still looking, although have just applied for a Sales & Marketing job with a Renewables Energy Consultancy so fingers crossed! Weather here was great in June, really hot weather, high 20's etc. But has been a bit crap during July so hopefully your return will bring the good weather back. Rhys and Helen have had an offer accepted on a house which is really cool and Becks is due in about a couple of weeks, which will be great as Kate arrives from NZ in 10 days. I think that is all good cause for a celebration and an opportunity for a few cheeky beers (not that a reason is need of course!) See you soon, Si |

| 8th April 2009 Simon Martin | That all looks familiar! - From: Knarly New Zealand: Episode Two Hi guys, glad to see you're having such a great time. Went to Abel Tasman, Kaikoura, and Franz Josef myself so i'm glad you got there as well. The heli-hikes are great fun, i was scared sh**less the first time i went up in the helicopter but it was well worth it. Abel Tasman is something else, probably one of the most beautiful places i've ever been too; you've got some great pics of it as well. Very impressed with the sky-dive, you've certainly got more balls than I have (well kind of...) Weather is picking up in the UK now, the clocks have changed thank God! I was made redundant at the end of March which was a bit of a stinker, will start looking for work after Easter, currently taking it easy at the moment, Feb and March were a tad stressful to say the least :) Looking forward to the next blog, enjoy the rest of NZ and have a great time in South America. Love, Si |

| 18th February 2009 Simon M | Fun in NZ - From: Knarly New Zealand: Episode 1 So that's where Rob ended up! I thought he'd been kidnapped.....however it was just you too; hope you dropped him off in a safe place :) Looks like you had a great time on the North Island, those beaches look bloody brilliant. You will have a great time on the south island, if you want more amazing beaches get yourself to Abel Tasman, absolute heaven. Al is skiing this week, which sounds great, but he's got to look after a bunch of school kids which sounds terrible! The weather has gone back to normal, so no more snow which is a shame, was quite enjoying that, me and Al had a snowball fight on the way back from the pub, it was great fun, two thirty-somethings acting like 5-year olds, best Monday night i've had in ages! Have a great time on the South Island, looking forward to the next blog. All the best, Si |

| 10th February 2009 Joan Giles | Aussie - From: Goon Under Hi Lucy: I am really enjoying all the installments of your blog and of course all your fun in Australia. Naturally you won't find N.Z. nearly as much fun. Perhaps I am prejudiced!! Les was sorry not to have had a chance for a visit in Melb. but maybe next time??? She has now moved back to Canberra. Good thing you left before the ghastly fires. Have fun in beautiful N.Z. from beautiful Western Canada. love, Joan |

| 23rd January 2009 Simon M | Hey Guys....I'm back in the UK - From: It's Hard Work Being Upside Down...Mate! Cracking photos, that one of Louise and Voodoo man on New Year's eve is bloody genius! Like the photo from the bridge as well, that must have been a cool walk. Glad you got to Plam Beach and saw summer bay, definately a nice part of the north shore. So i'm back in the UK following my NZ adventure. Crap weather, dark nights, loads of traffic....can't beat it! NZ was something else, Wellington is a very cool place so you should enjoy your time there. Kate has a got a really nice house with a cracking view of Wellington, and her house mates are cool as well. Kaikoura was good fun, didn't get to do the whale watching or swimming with dolphins due to poor conditions (too much wind) but we still got to see some dolphins playing in the bay and we walked to the seal sanctuary and got up close and personal with the fur seals so that was pretty special. We then split up and Kate went back to work I headed down to Franz Josef on the West Coast. The 7 hour drive was an epic and scenery is just stunning. Did the heli-hike which was awesome and well worth doing if you're heading that way. Was there for 2 nights and then headed to Abel Tasman National park for 4 nights with 2 days kayaking. Had a great time, the kayaking was brilliant and met some pretty cool people, so again if you're heading that way, definately worth doing. They've kept the National Park really natural, no cars, hotels, just camping sites, completely free of pollution; really loved it. After that i headed back to Wellington to catch up with Kate and a final night before flying back to the UK. She's got some cool friends so we had a good time; its a shame i had to come back but i've got a mortgage to pay! Hope you're having a great time in Queensland, catch up with you soon. Love Si |

| 29th December 2008 Bob and Helen | Christmas - From: Nearly Time for Another continent! Hi girls, so good to hear from you again. Sorry I am late in sending christmas greetings but Bob read your blog while I was at the hospital visiting a friend on christmas eve and forgot to tell me. Consequently with the rush and tear of the season I have only just seen it, today 28th. Anyway where do I start - we went up to Jan's on 13th and saw meg sing 2 solo's in church on 14th, then went to her school play (Grease) on 15th. She was Patti Simcox and brill and as Connor said loud, no need for a mik .We came home on 16th lunch out on 18th and 19th, Bobs half sisters wedding on 20th and after that I lost track, spending as much time as I could with Dora in hosp. Christmas day we spant with John, Sharon and family staying overnight and coming home on Boxing day. On Saturday we had christmas day at home with 4 friends - no not turkey but salmon as alighter option!!. 27th found us in Weymouth taking Granny out for lunch and then present exchange at the flat. Today I have done nothing not even made it up to the hosp - I shall get back into gear tomorrow and on new years eve we are hosting our full turkey dinner with more friends. Wishing you both a great new yrar and looking forward to hearing from you. Enjoy Aussie espescially Sydney - its amazing. Happy New Year girls. Much love Bob and Helen xxx. |
