Birla Temples I think you wud have found this out by now .. birla temples are a unique string of temples built in major cities. Their architecture is hindu but the concept is that they house the many deities that the various ppl in india
pray to. Its a representation of the tolerant tradition that india follows.
Nov/Dec stories please! Dearest Lorna - thank you so much for a most entertaining afternoon supping tea and reading your adventurous accounts. Can't believe it's mid-December and I hadn't read your blog till now. Truly inspirational to hear your news and views. Your descriptive powers are awesome, I feel like I've been to Bundi, sat in a rickshaw and eaten Indian pistachio ice-cream, just through the pictures you have painted. It's also been great to share the odd text and snatched phone call - it makes for a warm paradox where you're in deepest India yet 'down the road' too. The Ruddies must be with you by now, and Jess on her way too, also makes it feel somehow normal that everybody's in close touch. Look forward very much to hearing more stories. Lou xxxx
They have arrived.... 5 hours late... I got up at 4.30am!!!! So lovely to see them all safe and sound if a little tired. Off for an explore and thali!

Rudkins on the way ? Ah, the crazy walking twins should keep you company. But be careful, if they go all Michael Palin and want to tackle Himalayas make sure they where more than a pair of flip flops. D
Hmmm That's one thing you see in any country west of Paris, women doing all the actual work men hanging out like Asbo teenagers. And of course they'll want their tea on the table when they get home too.
I'm moving...
It's all grimy now.... Hello hon, thanks for your email, I'm now in Jaipur and loving it - it's like my dirty heavan!! but staying in a rather grubby hotel... trying to save cash so I can spend a night in luxury in one of the heritage places. Not done any yoga yet, but now I'm on the route down to Bangalore, I'm going to start investigating. I hope all is well in sunny glasgow. take care and lots of love Lxx
Thanks, I'm only just getting to grips with the travelblog and only realised after I had uploaded the images - waiting to get to a good internet cafe, so I don't spend to much time at the computer. I'm loving India though! happy travels
photographs you have posted photographs of punjab while writing about himachal , India is always inspiring and full of surprices , some really bad but mostly good
Heavens. Crickey, I've only just moved to Glasgow and don't have a proper house yet but you've got me wanting to go globe trotting again. Great to hear you're having an ace time. Do take care. love Rob

Your arrival Lorna dear, trust you. No slumming it for Mr Henderson by the sounds of it. No back street grimy hostels for you. I suppose that would be a mistake anyway esp in Inida. OOOH the glitter as you say! Sounds like you are sooooo organised and having a wonderful time. I will def be keeping up with your blog and was sorry to have missed your farewell in London.
