Tonight was amazing. There is a very old and famous bar next to my apartment, Cafe Britanico. Cafe Britanico is probably the most important bar in the area because it is the place everyone goes. Old men and women, working people, young people, hip people, tourists and dogs. It has huge windows that they keep open all of the time and people lean in kissing those they know sitting in those windows. It is where people live, gather and laugh. Earlier, after I posted the pictures in the last "entry" I went to bed. My head was spinning. Pain like giant wave swells with whipcream on top would crash over the pebbles, sea shells, sea weed and drift wood that make up my flesh and bones. Another good day. Two in a row now. Full of laughs and a giggle here and there. Edd, the newbie Jenni and I are the only ones in the house. It feels big, spacious, some how fancy here. I don't know how it feels fancy really. Its just that with the three giggling bafoons it feels like this place isn't ours. We are playing house. I just woke up and my eyes feel like they're filled with jam....sticky, gooey, and full of seeds. Last night Fee and I went up to the terrace drinking wine over some giggles. The house where everyone is friends is quickly becoming a home of us and them. The slobby habits of the visitors are now seeping into our hallways and common areas. I am sitting in an ultra fancy food court in an ultra fancy movie theater in an ultra fancy neighborhood, Recoleta. Perhaps you remember me mentioning that in my barrio there are very few trees. I think they took all of the trees alloted to my neighborhood and squeezed them into Recoleta thinking maybe no one would notice....well someone did notice. Four days until Mariahs birthday. I am reminding myself that I need to buy a calling card as well as remember to call her. I am sitting in a cafe somewhere in San Telmo.
