Our hostel in Barcelona left something to be desired. The girl at the front desk told us there was absolutely NO alcohol allowed and later we saw her drinking wine out of the bottle on the job. We ended up in a room with four boys who, from what we could tell, slept 24 hours a day so our windowless room smelled like dirty boys feet. Also the hostel advertised that it was located 100 meters from the beach, we walked for an hour before we found it. We made friends in Valencia! It was the first place that we couldn´t find a cheap hotel so we had to go for a hostel. We checked into Indigo youth hostel and while chatting with the girl at the front desk we came to find out that she and her husband had opened it just 6 days before! They have traveled all over and decided they wanted to open a place for backpackers that was clean and friendly and they succeeded! If a tourist asks you for directions and you´re not sure about giving them the right ones, don´t give them any at all!!! On Friday, we were told at the Hotel that we could get a train to Seville, Spain (our next destination) from Tunes, Portugal (a town one train station away from where we were). After 4 hours of buses and waiting for the train we arrived in Tunes (5 minute train ride away) to find out that there is no train to Seville only a bus from Faro (2 train stations in the other direction from where we started) [View Full Entry]

Hello from Albufeira! We actually can´t believe we made it here. On Tuesday approximately 9 hours before we were due to leave for the airport Liz was tightening the straps on Andreas backpack and a seam decided to explode. Needless to say we started to panic. We spent our last afternoon running around London looking for a new backpack. Thankfully we found one at the store 15 minutes before it closed. Our Aussies are throwing us a goodbye party on Saturday night and we're going to Buckingham Palace on Sunday morning for one last sight seeing opportunity.
