Berlin

Europe » Germany » District of Berlin
Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow! Hey Guys and Gals, Well my latest report is about Berlin and what a wonderful City it is! On Friday 21st November Rachel and I left Gatwick for Berlin, our two hour flight departed at 7.40pm and when we arrived we were greeted by a very cold chill in the air! We headed to our Hotel 'Air Berlin' which was only a ten minute walk from the airport. On Saturday morning we were up bright and early for a walking tour of the City, we had a very informative and enthusiastic Australian [View Full Entry]

Up on the Hill
Ciao! Well the last few months have just been cruising along as usual, in saying that there have been alot of changes too, i've made some great plans for Christmas and my Birthday (which you can read about later) and my entire flat is changing (except for me of course). Three of my friends are leaving and only now (after nearly 21 months of having people come and go) I think I've accepted this fact and am just enjoying the short time I have with them. A few of you have asked for photos, i've added some from the last few [View Full Entry]

Poland - Krakow (CDOJ)

Europe » Poland » Lesser Poland » Kraków
Hi Guys, Time for yet another lovely update and I'll try not to make this one a novel (at least I say that now before I've started hehe). On Saturday 30th August Nicola, Clint, Carmel, Jeff and I departed Gatwick for Krakow (pronounced Crack-of). We flew with Easyjet and as usual the flight was delayed by 45 minutes so our flight ended up leaving at 2pm. After a smooth two and a half hour flight we arrived at the airport and got a taxi to our Apartment. Our Apartment was lovely and situated in the heart of Krakow right next to [View Full Entry]

Yassas! (Hello) Well the Summer Holiday I had been waiting months for is all over so if you have time i'll tell you a bit about it! Actually I should warn you, it's not a bit, it's alot, so grab a drink and take a seat if you're interested! Our trip started on Friday the 11th of July with the ten of us catching the Gatwick Express (1/2 hour) from Victoria Station to Gatwick Airport. From there we flew out to Heraklion Airport in Crete (one of the larger main Greek Islands). It was all very exciting on arrival, not only [View Full Entry]

Hi Guys, Luckily for me i've had the week off as Nina and her Mum are in Cornwall so i've had a bit of time to do some more updates. Along with this blog I have added pictures to 'Portugal' (pages 2 and 3) and made two other blogs 'Brighton' and 'Pinkpop' (3 day music festival). If you would like to see these just click on 'Previous Entry' in the top left corner of this blog. At lunch on Thursday waiting for our Crepes!
We arrived in Amsterdam (50 minute flight) on Thursday morning around 7am (after getting up in London at 4.30am!). We found our way to the backpackers we were staying in which was really nice but in a pretty dodgy area. We spent the day checking out Amsterdam, had Crepes for Lunch and lots of Stroopwaffles (my favourite). In bed by 9.30pm as we were all feeling very tired by this point. Up 8am Friday to head to Landgraaf by train (2 1/2 hours out of Amsterdam where the Festival was held). Walked with our massive travel packs on to Camp A [View Full Entry]

Brighton

What a beautiful day we had in Brighton. Up at 6.45am to leave by 7.45am and get the train from Waterloo at 8.15am. We had to pick our tickets up from West Hampstead on the way (for some reason when Annette was booking it wouldn't allow her to pick them up from Waterloo). We left Waterloo at 8.25 (after missing the previous train by 3 minutes) and headed to Clapham Junction where we then caught a second train to Brighton. The journey took a short one and a half hours and on arrival we walked from the station to the main [View Full Entry]

Hi Guys! Well I know it's been a while since my last update so i'll try and make this one reasonably informative. In terms of what i've been up to, my job is still going really well and Nina and I are enjoying the fine weather. It's so nice being able to spend our days with friends in the Parks or Zoo rather than being stuck inside indoor playgrounds whilst it's pouring with rain! My flat is going really well and when we are together we generally have a few drinks but most of the time Annette and I are out [View Full Entry]

On Friday morning Jasmine and I met our Shuttle to head away from London for two days. It was an interesting group, a Mother and Daughter from the US, an Aussie couple, Three Asian people and a child, An Italian couple and a few other Aussie women. We chatted to the Aussie Couple on occasion but mostly everyone just kept to themselves. We had a lovely Shuttle Driver named Dave who was very informative and easy-going, we headed to Oxford first and although i'd been there briefly I found it very interesting to learn about how Oxford as a place works [View Full Entry]

Alesha, Nicola and Jess, on the bus on the way to Wales
Last month Nicola, Jess, Alesha and I went Horseriding in Wales for a weekend. We were picked up by a shuttle on Friday night and joined 12 other people on a 4 1/2 hour drive to Wales. The group consisted of nine females and two males, aparantely this is quite unusual as it's usually around half and half. After seeing most people drinking on the shuttle and deciding it would be a good idea to get some drinks for the road, the rest of the journey was spent trying to get the corks out of the Red Wine Bottles that Nicola [View Full Entry]
