On Friday the 19th of August Alesha and I headed to Gatwick in time for our 6.20pm Easyjet flight and in true easyjet fashion our flight was delayed for not one, not two but four hours!! A gas leak was the reason so in all honesty i'm glad they swapped planes but we weren't that pleased about arriving in Palma so late (2.30am). On arrival we had a very grumpy taxi driver who drove very eratically and unhappily to our 5 star accomodation. We also had a very drunk kiwi try and get in the taxi with us and if he'd been able to tell us where he was going we may have been able to take him but he told both taxi drivers he wanted to go to Clapham (this is at palma airport!!) ... read more
Hi Guys! This is just a little rundown on what we did in ibiza. I've tried to keep it short and sweet cause I think the pictures sum it up pretty well! So here goes: On Friday 29th July, Myself, Emma, Alesha, Jess and Lucy headed off on our 6.55pm flight to Ibiza. On arrival (around 11pm) we grabbed some burgers whilst waiting for our key to our Apartment. When we walked in we were all ecstatic to see the size of the balcony, not to mention the location on the beach and the fact that it had two bathrooms as well! We had a few drinks, got ready and headed out to our first club 'Amnesia' to see '2 many DJs' who were absoutely awesome! We were all on such a high on arrival so ... read more
On Friday 17th September 2010 Emma, Katrina, Keeler and I headed to Munich (the capital city of Bavaria in Germany) for the opening weekend of Oktoberfest. It was a weekend full of Beersteins, Pork Knuckles, Boiled Potatoes, Beer Wenches and lots of Merry Germans! We camped for three nights and visited the popular Hopfbrau and Lowenbrau tents. All up it wasn't too expensive with flights costing £189 and camping £114 for 3 nights which included the tent, bed, breakfast and shuttles to the festival ground each day. See pictures attached!... read more

Hey Guys, How are you all? Well it's been a while since my last enrty. Work is going well and the days are longer and lighter which is a big bonus! Apart from good weather Kade Anna and I were lucky enough to spend 9 days in Turkey from the 1st to the 9th of May, Loved Turkey!! :-) So here's the lowdown.. Day 1: Istanbul. After thinking we'd missed our flight and running through the airport like headless chickens (even though we'd arrived there nearly 3 hours early!) turned out we were right on time but just a little jaded. Got the 3 hour flight to beautiful hotel in Istanbul. Had a great day drinking Beers in the sunshine and smoking Sheesha (flavoured tobacco) on one of the many colourful cushions at a really ... read more
How cool is this, they even have Upper Hutt in the 'Regions of the World section' of this website. Anyway, I know this was months ago but I couldn't let the best holiday in the world go by unmentioned. Not only did it start with a trip to Thailand and onto Carmels Wedding and Christmas at home. I was lucky enough to spend New Years in Sydney with Nicola and friends, then to visit Hannah and Nina in Melbourne. The other two months in NZ were spent partying at the best Summer events and not to mention 'The Great Kiwi Road Trip' that Carmel, Jeff and I went on, seeing the likes of Christchurch, Nelson Lakes and the beautiful Abel Tasman. So here are just a few snippets from some of what i've mentioned above... thanks ... read more
Sa wat dee! Well i've been back in the homeland a month now and i've finally managed to get my A into G and write about about my latest amazing adventure. I know lots of you have been asking to see photos from home and the Wedding etc but i'll do that all in a seperate blog after the Races and Sevens (all costume ideas welcome by the way!) cause there's so much work in downloading pics, It's fair to say i'm slightly over it! Vicki, to look over past blogs you can just click 'previous entry' at the top left of this page. For those of you that just like looking through the photos there are 46 from Thailand (a little more modest than my usual 100 photo effort so as to try and keep ... read more
Hi Guys, Well it's taken me a while to write this seeing as i've had no internet at home but I thought it should still be done as i've managed to record every other trip i've done so here goes.. Annie and I left Gatwick on Friday night and after a 2 hour flight arrived in Denmark. We got the train to Andorra then two buses out to where we thought our Hostel was. We had a lovely old Danish Man (obviously he'd had a few) sing to us on the bus (much to his wifes embarrassment). When we finally got to our hostel and after two buses and a taxi we learnt that it was in fact closed for the night! We got the taxi Driver to take us to the nearest hotel only to ... read more
Hi Guys, I've been writing this blog on and off for a while so it's a wee bit old but here goes anyway.. on Tuesday 14th July I jumped on the train from Kings Cross and headed on a 3 hour journey to Durham (northern England) where I was met by my friend Zoe (who you may remember from my African Blog). We had a lovely day in Durham, and Sunderland, not only did she take me on a walking tour to see the Cathedral, we also paddled down the river in a Canoe Boat and had a three course lunch in a beautiful old Castle called ‘Lumley Castle’. That evening we went for a stroll along the beach and came back to a delicious meal of Pumpkin and Prawn Risotto and ‘Lumpy Bumpy’ Icecream Cake ... read more
Hi Guys! Well I can’t believe it’s all over and I’m writing this Blog to you. I can’t put into words what a brilliant time we had, despite a bit of rain and a few bouts of seasickness it was all smooth sailing! We arrived in Split on Friday 19th June (after a 6am flight from Gatwick) and had a lovely guy show us round our Apartment. Once we’d dropped our stuff off we all met back and headed to a Pizzeria right on the beach that we ended up spending the entire afternoon at. It was the most amazing first day, scorching hot and everyone was excited for the week to come. By 10pm we were all pretty sunned out so headed to a local Restaurant for Dinner and said Hello to Rhiannon who arrived ... read more
