Divine Wow the photos look amazing. You've managed to cover so much ground.. The culture.. The food and meeting lots of new friendly faces. Glad you've taken to it so well. After all the trekking bet that first swim in the pool was divine. Missing you here but i guess it beats on call weekend. Take care ruth x
amazing Hi Lisa, your trip sounds fantastic - maybe not eating the ant bit - I am impressed, but glad that is you not me. You seem a natural explorer and so happy. Thanks for sharing your stories in your blog. Keep up the good work! X
more food... Hi Lisa,
You are right we will all be green with envy of your trip, experiences and food (and drink). I was sorry to hear about the rain (not) - after all it is 3 degrees here and has been trying to snow this lunchtime. I have to say I wonder if you should become a travel writer for the Times as you not only have the photo skills but you have a lovely writing style. I am pleased you are buying a few treats for your Welsh friend as theres only a few more days before you will be able to share more of your adventure together. Needless to say the rest of us are soldiering on here - I do look forward to a catch up on the journey so keep it going
Best wishes
Nadine
Well done Lisa - you are amazing - to manage such a climb is a great achievement (although sleeping in a dormitory comes close!! - no - only teasing).
Keep on going with all your adventures as I am enjoying hearing about everything you do,
Best wishes
Nadine
another world! Looks so colourful - will you ever want to come back?!
Does that picture of the crocodile mean you did the water safari or do you just have a great zoom on your camera??
I am definitely not going to send you a pic of our dismal office - you'd recoil in disgust and justify a nonreturn - you are really missed in arrowe park !

Crocodile city On the river safari. Very very close.
I can't say I'm missing the office one bit!
All this sunshine is really hard work - not! Having a brilliant time. Wildlife, food, people all amazing. Will I ever want to return?
Sounds dreamy.. Sounds like you have arrived in paradise and minor luggage glitches are just blips..........17 hours does sound taxing ....but all that unsociable working we've endured over the years should stand you in good stead to soldier on! Am in this dreary work office (understatement!!) ....so contrast that and wallow in your well deserved adventure trip !! I will b watching out for some wonderful pics....... with that camera.......MaryX
I am a recently appointed Consultant Geriatrician and am currently on a career break following a prolonged period off work after two nasty and very memorable shoulder operations.
I've always loved Malaysia and visited annually for the past seven years. I have always wanted to explore East Malaysia and I am looking forward to eating lots of new Malaysian delights, whilst spotting proboscis monkeys and experiencing turtles laying eggs by night.
