Safe in Roatan?
My son and daughter-in-law plan to travel to Roatan in two weeks. We want to know if it is safe, whether food is available, and if there is still a curfew. They are not staying in a hotel, but rather have rented a private home with several others.

Roatan - perfectly safe and beautiful!
I want to let the world know that Roatan is perfectly safe. I have traveled to Cozumel, MX, Cancan MX, Playa Del Carman, MX, Costa Rica and of all the places I have vacationed I felt the safest in Roatan. Me and my best friend stayed for a week at the beginning of August 2009 and would have never known there was any political unrest or that there was a military coup if the US media did not completely make a mountain out of a mole hill. We considered cancelling our vacation and are so happy we didn't. We will go back!
