Well have now moved up to an area called Northland which is about a 30 minute walk to work, or a 15-20 minute bus ride into town but am loving it. First night in a proper bed was so lovely!! Slept wonderfully! Currently still working at Clarkes cafe in the library. New flat is awesome, am living with 4 other girls but one s leaving by the 8th June-ish. Well not a lots been going on with me recently! Still love it here, but have just been working! Have no photos to put up either, havent done anything to even take photos of! Wow, been here almost 4 whole months now, seems like forever since i was in oswestry! But meh! North Island Trip 22nd March Saturday Had meal booked at this ace restaurant called Monsoon Poon, and had invited about 10 people altogether. Annie, Josh, Hayley, Katrina and James arrived there first. Waited quite a while on the others but had happy hour Berry Daquiris while we waited so all good! Chris and Ellie turned up about an hour late but had got me loads of pressies and had even made me a chocolate cake! So sweet of them! Well, what a past few weeks of travelling i have had! Started off on the 6th march with an 8am ferry across to the south island. Complete change of plans as Hayle only arrived on the 4th but we thought we'd get the bulk of the travelling out the way so could relax at the end of Hayleys stay here. Well its now the 20th February, time's gone rather quick already, not sure how! Have been working quite a bit recently, trying not to spend all my money at once, and have made some real cool friends, but will be leaving there soon for much road tripping and fun when Hayley arrives on the 4th March! Whay, it is Waitangi day today, the day of the signing of the treaty of Waitangi. Have been some cool things going on, went down the the Waitangi park a couple minutes away and there were some stalls and live music and entertainment going on there! All good! Last weekend i went up to Napier as I was invited last minute to a wedding of josh's uncle, which was very thoughtful indeed of him! It was probably just over a 4 hour journey up there, but the views and scenery was beautiful on the way. First its over the Rimutaka Range, full of windy roads but stunning mountainous scenery. Then once passed the mountains you pass through lots of villages and towns. We stopped off in Masterton to see Ann-Louise's mum, brother and her dog Holly. Last few days have been real hot and sunny! Have been walking so much everyday, will be fit in no time! AND been getting up not much later than 9 most days too which is just unheard of really back home! Just actually stuff to do so dont want to be lazing in bed all day!!! Must have walked most streets in the city though, just always walking round, popping into shops, havent really bought a great deal but meh! Well i arrived after what was probably at least a 30 hour journey from heathrow (2.35pm 5th jan) to wellington airport (11.30am 7th jan)! Stopped at LA, then Auckland then on to Wellington. Was met by Ann-Louise and Josh at the airport who drove me back to their place. We then had a stroll round some parts of Wellington as i was quite awake! The City is so amazing, and staying on Oriental Parade which is literally 5-10 minute walk into the centre and just over the road from the sea and a little manmade beach just like 100m away!! its [View Full Entry]
