There are about 2 million people in the city on the western coast. I visited the city for a day and then headed to the coast. From Perth I booked a tour to head north up the west coast. During this trip I got to see 1500 kilometers of the rugged country that makes up Australia. http://www.travelblog.org/Oceania/Australia/Western-Australia/Perth/blog-400952.html Great Barrier Reef and Whitsunday Islands After Sydney I flew up the Northeast coast to Cairns. This is the main jump of spot for the diving on the Great Barrier Reef. I signed up for a 5 day dive trip to the Great Barrier Reef and some outer reefs. During this trip I saw all kinds of beautiful coral giant clams the size of a large barrel tons of fish eels turtles and sharks. Grouper between 300 and 400 lbs and the sharks ranged http://www.travelblog.org/Oceania/Australia/Queensland/Great-Barrier-Reef/blog-400949.html Sydney Australia My first stop in Australia was Sydney. After camping in New Zealand for the last few months it was nice to visit this beautiful city. I spent most of my time visiting the city on a bike from Mike Herrmannrsquos company Bonza Bikes. Thanks Mark and MikeThis was a great way to see most of the city in the 5 days I was there. I biked to all the typical attractions like the harbor bridge Orch http://www.travelblog.org/Oceania/Australia/New-South-Wales/Sydney/blog-387167.html Last few weeks in New Zealand I know it has been a while since my last update but somehow it has been difficult to sit down and devote time to be on the computer. My last few weeks in New Zealand have consisted of visiting the wineries on the South Island kayaking and flying in a helicopter around Milford Sound meeting up with friends in Christchurch caving bouldering and learning to roll a white water Kayak. This small and friendly place kept me a few more days than I expected. I camped at a great campsite that was a 5 min walk over the inlet via a walking bridge. It dumped you right in town. I spent the next couple of days kite boarding and hanging out enjoying the town. The weather has been perfect and the county amazing. I bought a small van and have been travelling around the Northland. Tons of beaches harbors and rolling hills. It is quite tropical and most of the water is very clear but a bit chilly. There are hostels and campsites everywhere. My van has a bed and everything I need in it. All of the sites have kitchens sh http://www.travelblog.org/Oceania/New-Zealand/North-Island/Bay-of-Islands/blog-375373.html Everything I packed...................
