Flea City! - From: Hampi Moments
Thanks for your comments Zac. Unfortunately, at the budget end of the scale, such experiences are all too common in India . It's a wonderful country but at times, it can test the good humour of a saint. Flea City it is then! LB

Yuk, Worms? - From: A Problem in Penang
Have just read your Penang epistle. Sounds like you are having a great time, in spite of illness and worms (yuk!). It was great to read of your exploits while, back here in the UK, it is chilly and threatening to rain (again). Since we last saw you we have had a fantastic trip to Mauritania and Mali, reaching our hoped for destination - Timbuktu - and going to the Festival au Desert - lots of elaborately dressed camels and dashing men - like something out of Lawrence of Arabia. Lots more stories to tell of our trip but that can wait till we see you and catch up with each other. Hope you are both well now. Love from Trisha and Neil xx

Almost cruel - From: Up The Pacific Coast
Hi Guys It's a wet, windy and miserable February day here in Blighty. As I sit at my desk in the dreaded Pasty factory I thought I'd look at the "blog" and read about your travels. The second photo of the 'Coracles on the beach' is almost cruel from my window I can see grey sky, windswept bare trees and rain. But now I have a new screen background on my work PC ! ! Much love Shelley xx

Ah, nice to hear... - From: The Four Thousand Islands
... your latest tails. I'll never think of rice quite the same again. Its amazing what we take for granted in our western opulence. Beccie and Steve have sailed off yesterday for France, Spain and Portugal having caught the surfing bug, and they've bought a van. Its starting to give us itchy feet, still, we've booked a weekend in Torquay in February!

Back in Contact - From: Incountry
Hi Laurie & Viv, So glad you made it to the Plain of Jars. We've been out of contact for a little while, as we've been staying on Apo Island, Negros for just over a week(no internet access there). I managed to get a few dives in and did my advanced diver course. I also had to do my first rescue - although that wasn't planned. Susan pretended to do revision for her exams in a couple of weeks and did a lot of snorkelling. We are now back in Manila and are flying back to the UK tonight. We really enjoy reading your travel blogs. Keep up the good work. Bye for Now Grant

Fair goes your travels well, I trust. - From: Beginnings
Hope you both have a excellent time. If you ever get lost or your not sure what, place both feet firmly on the ground, slap your chest with both palms, and say out loud 'This is where I am, this is who I am, and there is where I'm going.' Good luck to you both.

Take-off is looming!! - From: Beginnings
Well, finally you are off. Relief and sadness all at the same time! Having been in close contact during the build up to your trip, we are both very aware of the ups and downs you've endured. All we can say is all the best, lots of love and if you keep the strength and determination you have shown to experience the world again at your 'slightly tender ages' (!), you willl have the trip of a lifetime. Keep in touch xx
