Impressed!
Hi Laurene, Great to hear about another rugby convert - and I'm quite impressed you've learnt the ABs names! (Better get a move on with my own world cup blog entries!) Glad you've had a great time here, safe travels.

An experience to remember
The parade would have been wonderful to watch with All Blacks, over-sized Kiwis, volunteers and even the Royal Family in attendance! The photos give a great sense of what it was like being in the crowd.

I love Maori art. Yes Rotorua is a scenic spot. Glad you had a good weekend there...the spa you forgot to mention. The laser show looked amazing.

There should be dates, but if you read them as soon as I post them all the info might not be there yet? You can't see anything is wrong with my feet by just looking at them. They are just constantly sore or in pain or aching. The swelling is mostly gone now but the pain remains.

water color is fabulous
Lovely Tasmania! How come there is no date on your entries anymore? Why don't you take a photo of your feet so we can see whats going on?????

Thanks Aunty Gail! Which hat, my sun hat? I got it on the east coast at a market my parents and I went to. I love it! I'm glad I got here too, was amazing!

Have I told you
I love that style of hat on you Laurene, when did you get it? I'm so glad you got to visit that area.
10th September 2011

what a place
I am glad you were able to do this tour. The stories are the special part. We can all read about it but to be there is magical. Is there a lot of erosion?

Look at you
Glad to see smiles on your face...those little crocs are cute. You are getting very accustomed to all the wild creatures. We enjoyed our late night call last night with the Novlan crew here. They all say you have an Aussie accent. Aunty Irene says it is cute. Great sand dollar picture too.

yeeow! is all I can say to you for getting through this experience intact. It's a hugely difficult thing to return to a scene where you were injured and force yourself to do it again - I've been there too - but if you hadn't I think you would regret not trying - just like falling off a horse hey! I'm so proud of you for pushing through the fear and finishing your tour! And you got some amazing memories & photos out of the whole thing too, so that's a big plus ;)

Scary Stuff!
You are one very lucky girl! This gorge looks like it is for mountain climbers---- NOT HIKERS!!!! That's why they have 'LOOKOUTS!' Take heed. Glad you are recovering and on the move once again. Sounds like the tour personnel took great care of you-- and the rescue team were awesome. Thanks to all of them. (Time to come home!) Dad
