My oldest daughter gave me the book as a gift after going through some hard times. I have to say that after putting it down, misplacing it for several months and finally getting back to it recently, I cried, laughed and was simply touched by Liz's experiences and by the wonderful people she met. I am currently piling up information so I can plan my trip to Bali so I can hopefully meet the medicine man. All best wishes to you and yours, and all who read your blog.

Talk to the animals!
From monkeys, to elephants! You always did have to have the most unusual pets! Lauren, all the pictures have been beautiful. What scenery! We are glad you are safe, and seeing so many sights. I hope the weather is a little better on you second half of the trip. I just don't want to see you draped in a snake in any of the rest of your travels! We miss you and know you are having the adventure of a lifetime. We are so jealous! All our love, mom, Dan and gang xoxox ( P.S. Bodi sends a big kiss)

What's up with your next move to Thailand?
Just want to know what the plans are for Thailand... Loved all your notes on Bali; what a wonderful experience. From what I've read so far you haven't had any major problems other than trying to find time to sleep!! I'm proud of the work you're doing and look forward to hearing all the details and what you feel you're learning in the process. You'll have these memories forever... keep good notes in your diary. Miss you and best wishes on your continued travels. Dad

Thailand's just around the corner
It's been a month...hard to believe... and it looks like you're really adjusting to their culture. Bring some of it home, it's a lifestyle more of us should learn. Have you been keeping a diary? Your life's ventures will be kept with you if you write it down. What's the plan for Thailand? Feel free to email me the update. In the meantime stay safe and enjoy the most rewarding trip of your life. Love Dad
