Monday 9th October Paul - Our lift to the harbour was made all the more amusing by the comedic stylings of our bus driver. I say even more amusing because we had two French couples with us and I was enjoying pointing out Scotlands triumph last night. Friday 6th October Laura - After a pleasant morning stroll on the beach we checked out of our campsite (which basically involved driving out...) and set off for a little place called Tully, where we were to visit a gorge. Tully was tiny and had nothing interesting to offer so we drove straight through to the gorge. Once again it was a gorgeous day and a nice drive with very scenic views. Wednesday 4th October Laura - We picked up our fantastic little camper van in the morning and off we went on our little adventure! Fortunately it was not the porno van but one with BB King painted on the side, which was a relief. After stocking up with some supplies from Woolworths, we headed out to the highway. The first destination was The Barron Gorge Falls, near a little town called Kuranda, in the Atherton Tablelands. Sunday October 1st Paul - An emotional goodbye was had this morning as we hugged Meika, Dave and our comfy beds goodbye. Unfortunately they were the only people up this morning to wave us goodbye (damn everyone else to hell) but we did wave bye to Sonya (our German cleaner, she likes Panic At The Disco bless her) on the way out. Sunday 24th September Laura - Today we decided to get a ferry across to Manly, a peninsular area with lots of beaches. It was very very windy so we didn't intend on lounging on the beach, but thought we'd go for a walk around as we'd heard it was very nice. Thursday 7th September Paul - Sydney is bloody freezing! The brochures lie I tell you! Where are all of those bloody tanned Ozzies that you see in the photos?? Not in Sydney!!! They've probably migrated to warmer climates. I'm going with them if this keeps up. Landed after a fantastic panaroma of Sydney harbour as our plane had to circle it for a while. No need to pay money to go up one of the overpriced towers now to see the views! Tuesday 5th September Laura - First of all, Happy Birthday to big bro, aka pompom, aka Thomas!! Hope you had a nice day. We had an early start today to catch our bus to Singapore. We were up before dawn. Frequent readers will know this doesn't agree too well with us! Saturday 2nd September Laura - Caught our bus to Melaka at midday and arrived around two hours later. First impressions of Melaka are great. It's such a pretty little town. Sunday 27th August Paul - Got up and had a bus to Kuala Lumpur to catch. It was the end of the school holidays so every man and his dog seemed to be leaving Georgetown. After taking over an hour and a half just to leave the island (the bus journey was only supposed to last 4 hours!) we were finally on the way to KL (as the whole backpacker crowd seems to call it).
