Hi Rob, Thanks for the correction, it's so hard sometimes to keep all the mountains, glaciers, and ranges straight, we saw so many while traveling throughout British Colombia. It seems like your hometown has gone through a lot of changes, I visited about 5 years ago and it was quite different then! Thanks for checking out my blog.

Just surfing & came across your blog - From: Life is Short but Sweet for Certain
Hello, I was surfing through google images for Smithers, BC - as this is my home town & though I no longer live there, I sometimes enjoy seeing pictures from home. Anyway, I came across your excellent pictures of the mountain which is more famous to me than Mt Everest & I hope you won't mind me correcting the name you have listed. The name of the mountain in Smithers is actually called "Hudson Bay Mountain," the Seven Sisters' peaks are near Kitwanga where you turned off to head up to the Yukon. Good shots of the glacier, btw. It is sad to see how much it has receded. You can see where all the bare rock is, 25 years ago or so ALL of that rock was covered by glacier. It is sad to see it retreating so much.

Prairies to Mountains in minutes - From: Drops of Jupiter
Awesome Laura, just fantastic. So glad you are able to share this wonderful trip. I'd love to see Montana now after your description. Prairies to mountains in minutes! The song God Bless America comes to mind. So where will you be on the 4th of July? So like Mom's to come by and put the "hand down" on their kids fun, huh? Ooops, Deb are you there? The weather has been good out here for a week now and that's a great treat after much cloudiness. I hope this is the bright season come to stay. Keep the updates coming! Stay well.

Thank you for sharing - From: Just like Heaven
My God Laura, thank you for sharing this adventure with me. I can't wait to hear more. What could those people be thinking to destroy a glacier--that's right they are not thinking. Makes me angry. The area is beautiful and I would also like to go there. Always have. It should be pretty easy now - no excuses. I'm glad you've found a place that lights you up as much as Alaska. I'll drop another note - stay well and enjoy every second! Love always.

Dalton Highway - From: As we wind on down this long and dusty road
Laura, Hope you and all your friends had a great time, but not too great if you know what I mean. I am crossing my fingers for good weather for you at Denali. I went on google and checked out the Dalton Highway. I sounds ??? Advice is to have 2 spare tires with you becasue the road is not paved in many areas and very rough, also many car windshields get cracked because of rocks flying up. Not trying to discourage ;you but I am thinking about your expense of the last tires. CHeck it out on google. Have fun. Be safe. Will talk to you tonite. Love, Mom We all Miss you.

Unable to see the truth - From: The Sun Beat Down
Laura & Jen, Just because you heathens are unable to see the truth that is the Church of Latter Day Saints does not mean that proselytizing is not a healthy activity. You have just never experienced the love that is trying to convince others that their faith is wrong or that they have no faith at all. The rush, never mind the steak knives set, that you get when you rope someone into seeing the movie is unbelievable. Some gets are especially great; when a jew, hindu, or muslim enter the square we all clamor the opportunity to right the wrongs of the past! Yee Haw, now that is fun sister, oh sorry, heathens. Anyway, you get on your blasphemous way. But watch your back in Idaho; we are watching and our numbers are strong in those parts. Faithfully yours bitches, Sister Jen PS - Joseph Smith was the man.

have fun. - From: The Sun Beat Down
It funny to read about all these places that you are visiting. It is like reading my experience too. I had the same thing happen while I was in salt lake city and we did the same thing, go to the island. That must be a anti-religion zone, at least the buffalo think so. If you have time in Idaho, I made some reservations for you at an old friend of my house, Ted "the wacko" Kazenski. His one room shack is lovely this time of the year, and the outhouse has recently been pumped. Have Fun Marc, Wenche, Sara
