thanks guys I couldn't have done it without a few things: (1) the support of good friends (2) Jesus (3) a strict training regimen that included: an evening of drinking, poker, roof tops, and Memphis Blues the night before a 33 km 'training' run. (4) my monumental fear of jelly fish.

This is why you guys go first....to map out the perfect vacation for me and Dave... so that we don't have to stay in the dirty places or have run ins with people like Fatima! ;-) Thanks LatCars!
Hope you're both feeling better now!
I love you guys and miss you lots! Loving your blog and pictures!!!

Ball Hey guys,
Enjoying the blog - although with no small measure of quiet, seething jealousy.
All's good here, nice and sunny and all that. Master Batters going great guns - won the first 2 games on Wednesday, and how! Both were called due to the team's dominance and an insurmountable scoreline. Can we keep this up? Doubtful.
Marathon was grueling and way tougher than I expected but awesome. On the fence about doing another...might take up something a little easier on the knees.
Keep the posts coming! Take care,
Dan
Century 21?? Reading your blog makes me realize that the Polish Ninja and I are sooo in need of a trip to NYC!! Glad to hear you're enjoying yourself in one of the best cities in the world!! If you find it, you should have lunch/snacks at Dean and Deluca's. A fantastic grocery store which I know you will love! And really, I can't wait to hear all about the bargains you find at Century 21!
The name of the cafe in Lisbon that Rob was telling you about is called Pasteis de Belem. If I remember any other fantastic places in Lisbon, I'll let you know. (Really Barro Alto is one big fantastic place!!!)
Talk to you soon!
Your Neighbour
I absolutely loved the Museum of Modern Art. There were so many interesting exhibits, it's impossible to see it all in one trip... but I can't wait to go back! http://www.fivestarnewyorkhotels.com
I enjoyed your New York post! I'm from NY and I'm so glad to hear you're having a great time there! Reading your post made me miss it! My travel blog is looking for photos, reviews, etc, to share. Plus, we recently added a NY hostel review. If you have the time, check it out at dirty-hippies.blogspot.com, or email me at dirtyhippiesblog@gmail.com. Continued fun on your travels!

rainy Vancouver -- lovely Europe.... you choose Hi guys . Looks like you’re having a wonderful time .. Makes me want to go back (and not for a rainy x-mas England trip . ~~sorry, Dan we’ll have a great time but the rain~~ Heather --did your mom tell you that I thought that the locks were changed on the main door of your building? I went once last week and the key worked fine and I got in no problem Went back on Tuesday (Colin, you now have a bike --- we’re waiting on you, Heather to complete the ‘ biking crew’) and the key would NOT work at ALL!!! I tried so many times, and was convinced that the front locks had been changed over the weekend. I tried to look up your management company number could not find it then finally had to resort to bugging your parents, who did get the #, called and determined that the locks had not been changed. Last night Dan and I went to yours and snuck in with a neighbour (plants are lookin’ great, mail is picked up, and you still have a car to come home to), then spent a long time trying to figure out how to work the lock ---- determined that it will work once out of every 20-30 times used. (the drama) . We are all moved in and can’t wait to have you two over and you can tell us all about your trip. Unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll be able to enjoy the huge deck because in Vancouver, the RAINS HAVE BEGUN. It’s dark and cold and rainy and gloomy and I have seriously decided that we all need to pack up and go somewhere HOT!!! Have a super trip and Heather . Remember that you were going to call me .? Miss you both! ~~~Sandra~~~
