You're in "XanGo Land" - From: We shouldn't be allowed to have this much fun
Hi Joanne and Bill: Great to hear from you. Have you eaten lots of mangosteens? Too bad you didn't have some for your latest venture in bike riding around Phuket. Did you get to Farang Di Je where the XanGo house is? Crystallee and I were in Krabi where she went rock climbing. The Phi Phi Islands are beautiful too. Coral Island is where XanGo took us for a day trip and this where I went para sailing and almost did myself in. The harness was too tight. XanGo should be having the Premier trip very soon. How long are you there? Where will you go after Thailand? You will have to go back when you become a premiers. Have a good time. Email me if you need any advice on what to see in Phuket. Hugs, Lauretta

Great to hear from you - how cool to be meeting new friends along the way & then to have friends from "back home" meet up with you! We're expecting snow this weekend in Vernon - so, we're very envious of the beautiful beaches you've been visiting! Tom & I spent a week in Cabo with Glen & Sandy Martin from Kamloops, in March - total R&R - came back really rested - didn't last long though! We're off to Italy in August to visit Tom's family south of Rome - should be very interesting-really looking forward to it! Tony is back on Vancouver Isalnd - didn't really like school & hockey in New York - good experience & I'm gald he came to the decision himself! Elana just got back from Nicarargua - spent 2 weeks working in an orphange - part of her Global Ed school program - has really impacted her - Life changing experience, for sure! Anyways, looking forward seeing/hearing Part 2......take care. Shell & Tom

Rain in Sydney - From: Race against time
Hi Jo & Bill - we hope the sun has come out for you in Sydney - it's such a magnificiant City & the Beaches are awesome(at least they were 20 years ago!!!!). Nancy Hermanson(PBM in S.Arm) just got back from 5 weeks in N.Z. & Aust. & said the same thing - so much rain - their car was broken into @ a well known Zoo, so, there trip didn't end off on the "down" side! Hope you don't have to experience that! Tom & I off to Mexico in March, not as exciting as your trip, but I'll take it at this point...hope it's warm! Take Care ....LOVE hearing about your travels! Shell & Tom

catching up to you - From: Race against time
Hi Joanne and Bill: It was great to hear from you again. Your travel updates are always worth waiting for. I see that you are in extreme weather conditions, just like here in TBay. We just got out of 1 week of -40. This was our 2nd one this winter. It also sounds like the two of you haven't suffered any injuries, as in travel buddies wanting to seriously harm each other, yetttt. Ha Ha I am very happy that you are having a great time. I look forward to your next travel story. Blessings, Lauretta

You lucky devils!! - From: Fiji Update from New Zealand
Hi Joanne & Bill, How many countries are you intending to visit? Is a fim crew accompanying you to record your travels. After Australia you will find some less expensive countries. Do you have a round the world airline ticket? What is your itinerary? If you are coming through Toronto/Mississauga the basement renovations should be fionished by the time you are back in Canada so there will be sleeping space available for the 2 of you. LOL, Terry.

What fun... - From: Hello and Goodbye
Hi folks, this TravelBlog thing's a good idea... Don't you find it liberating to shed stuff? And it's just so satisfying to wander around a new strange place knowing that everything you need is in your pack, so you can just keep wandering... You've done really well getting that to 22lbs! So are you going to Suva & Nadi? How about the islands?

Congratulations - From: Hello and Goodbye
Congratulations on your trip! You will soon see that it was the right decision (not that we don't need and want Bill back here at MOT). :-) I have travelled some of the areas you will be visiting myself--also with a backpack, and you'd be surprised what you can do without. I saw travellers with no more than a small daypack containing all their worldly goods. Okay, you can get extreme about it, too: if you find yourself drilling holes in your toothbrush to cut down on the weight..... When you get back you will probably furnish your home with a few throw pillows and a coat hook and think it's just fine. I will be glad to follow along here and see how you are doing from time to time. Thanks for the invitation to your blog. Best, Lawrence
