Sadly we found o http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/Mexico/Guerrero/Troncones/blog-450034.html Mushrooms frogs monks and elephants in the Canyon After 14hrs of travel and a transit through the US always painful we arrived in Chihuahua Mexico and we drew the short straw when Scottrsquos bag was lsquochosenrsquo to be searched. After finding nothing of interest we were on our way to a cute little hotel and rather than the usual washing of car windows at the traffic lights we were treated to some fire dancing entertainment grea http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/Mexico/Sinaloa/El-Fuerte/blog-450023.html Ponies on the main road Just back from a weekend down in the New Forrest we set off Friday evening arriving by train into Brockenhurst about 9. Our BB was award winning but probably for service certainly not for space. We were in the smallest room but nice and cosy. I had a bit of a cough thing going on so probably woke up the entire place the following morning. We were treated to a local full English breakfast veg http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Hampshire/New-Forest/blog-440568.html Ferraris Fins and a big crash Scott and I plus a couple of friends set off for the F1 race in Monza Italy aboard a rather freaky flight. The plane banked left on takeoff then appeared to be flying rather low then banked left again and dropped suddenly. There were a few screams and maybe a yelp from me. But gladly we landed in Milano safely 90mins later. We leap quickly into a cab and said NH hotel as fast as you can the http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/Lombardy/Milan/blog-436579.html What would Putin do Somehow the theme of this trip ended up being lsquoWhat would Putin dorsquo strange but true. I was lucky enough to be staying at one of the nicest hotels so started the day with a swim in the stunning bean shaped pool before heading out on a tour it was a very hot day.First we went to the square where it all kicked off back in 1989 revolutionary square. Old Nicolas and his http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Romania/Muntenia/Bucharest/blog-436572.html Flying dogs at Pulpit Rock Scott and I had a frantic start to the weekend in Norway as I had just flown back from Krakow after being there all week for work. However we were having better luck than the guy in front of us as we entered security checks at Gatwick who heard the one thing you dread hellip lsquoSir yoursquore at the wrong airportrsquo. Setting out late Friday evening we arrived in to Zagreb just before 11 and then managed to get a bus into the city and then a taxi to our pokey little hotel. It was central so we forgave it for being tiny. The following morning we went out walking to the main square http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Bosnia-and-Herzegovina/East/Sarajevo/blog-415545.html Hadrians Wall cycle turns into a walking holiday It was Easter long weekend and Scott Kara Jonson and I had been planning to cycle Hadrianrsquos Wall World Heritage Site for quite some time. However when booking the train up to Carlisle and back from Newcastle I didnrsquot book bike slots for the bikes. Thus our biking holiday turned into a hiking holiday. What is Hadrianrsquos Wall I hear you asking well back in the Roman times th http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Tyne-and-Wear/Newcastle-Upon-Tyne/blog-415525.html Learning new skills That is exactly right we went fly fishing and then hawking in Dartmoor on a quick weekend break in the country. Early doors Saturday morning we head down country to Exeter St Davidrsquos then took a bus to Mortonhampstead from there a taxi to Bovey Castle. A beautiful estate with a world class golf course set on the out skirts of Dartmoor National Park. The purpose was the learn how to make cheese It was lovely to wake up to the noise of cows mooing in the paddock. Scott had a full English breakfast meat galore. Then we had to don white coats and our newly bought gumboots. We then learnt how to make cheese gouda http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Somerset/Taunton/blog-340619.html Ferragamos pad in Tuscany Scott and I attended Paige and Victorrsquos Scottrsquos friends from NYC wedding in Tuscany and decided to spend a few days looking around Florence before arriving at the venue. We arrived tired and weary into Pisa to find the next bus to Florence was in 90mins time i.e. midnight So we reached into our pockets and forked out 150euro for a taxi to Florence ouch. We arrived in late but of course it was still very light we only had 4hrs of darkness very strange experience. On our first day we got up early and headed to the modern huge concert church but unfortunately it was covered with scaffolding. I suppose like most churches in capital cities all round Europe.
