Tuesday 19th August. Dubai Our last day in Dubai was great. We caught a bus to a market-like area called Al Karama which completely changed our perception of Dubai. We’d only seen the wealthier sections of Dubai and the people who could afford to shop there. But now we drove further into the suburbs through areas where the work force lived. The size of homes compared to what we’d seen was incredible and the amount of air conditioners and satellite dishes mind- boggling. The Stop over....DUBAI Well 16th August was finally here....years of planning were about to be put to the sword First up....Katelyns Birthday.....we had a cake and...well No candles.......Ok we had candles but didnt think it was appropriate to light them in the airport..... After embarrasing Katelyn in public......we said good by and with tears in eyes began the odesy! The flight was great...hardly felt the first landing in Singapore.... the kids were Good, Katelyn was a bit unwell......the Food was OK on the plane.....heaps of it.
