Troy, the greek god of street art, Michelle the reading maniac who got through any book you placed in front of her, Taz, the Hostel carer with an always ready smile and measured comment to anything, San, up for a laugh anytime and a savvy English take on things anytile, Linda, quiet but [View Full Entry]

Oh my god this town is lovely, any of you following my Facebook updates will know I've stayed here sooooo long, a full 7 nights tomorrow, then hopefully I'll be away down south, though things seem flexible till the last moment. The town is so relaxed, so many nice cafes, squares and a special arty feel. I have found a lovely group of people in a close by hostel I have been hanging out with, and just soaking up the atmosphere. A nice art gallery here and there and trying to catch a few sunsets by the port one or other [View Full Entry]

The emotions were high right from the beggining, azs the flight had some turbulence, and we were in the absolute last seats in the plane... as we arrived the pilot announces we will lake two approaches for the tower to check all is OK with our front wheel...mmmm how nice!!! Don't worry if you see fire engines and blue lights on the runway...it's standard procedure. -nervous laughs and distracting our friend... but all was really fine in the end. We are in a propper country!!! We know that when we have to fill in bits of paper to get into it, [View Full Entry]

All my kit ready. Feeling really professional. Got all the light quick-drying bare minimum in a small backpack, and hoping to adapt to life as a wanderer. Got a Bus tomorrow and a plane the next. This is just a barometer for my mood really, not real travel entry. But I'm full of expectations, urges to take pictures and sip tea (hoping they will serve it without sugar!!!!). But hey, planes have been such a drag these last few years. Far from the thing I looked forward to so much as a child. all the security is really a shame for [View Full Entry]
